I liked it a lot too, it it kind of makes you wonder that in the first chapters they didn't tell much of the plot, they could've started sooner and saved us from this mess.
You're at 115 hours ? By this time I had already platinum' ed the game. I'm not saying it to brag about it, this to say, the Arena will take A LOT of your time.
Oh, and a suggestion, you should try the Arena before going to Neverland, at least level up a little. There's a trick in the fight 40 something, where you fight two helicopters; this is the best place to level up in the Arena, and from my pov in the game. Just don't kill the second chopper because this is a boss battle of the arena and once it's gone, it's really gone.

Yeah, I'm sure that's not accurate. I do lots of crap and just keep the game running. I even watch baseball games in my tvs PIP while grinding the arena.
Speaking of, I've actually done a lot of arena battles already, so that would accout for the time too.

You said it. Most of the arena's battle I've done while at least listening to music, watching a funny show like family guy or south park on my pc while playing it.
I think Tri-Ace missed the point in the arena when they asked us to do each battle 3 times. It doesn't seem like much but that takes a looot of time.
If we're going to platinum, well, too bad for us, our decision but a regular playthrough should be more lenient. If it were for me, each battle in the arena would be a boss battle but with less required battles.

um... it's actually 10 times to the the achievement. 3 times only gets you to the next level.

That's my point. Even three gets boring when you've got about 50 tiers to go.
I'm pointing on it because even though it's all optional, if you want to go through Neverland, the arena is a good place to level up but only the last 10 tiers or so. Yet you still have to go through all the crap and so many times.

Ah, yeah, tri ace tends to do that though.
And I'm out of baseball games that I can multitask with. All that's left is the divisional playoffs and the world series. I don't really want to miss any of those games. I'll get to it though
