I wish they'd release something resembling anything.
I'm not sure I actually agree with that.
I mean, ideally of course I wish they would just release the game. But assuming it still is being made then I would prefer they just not talk about it and let the team do...well, whatever it is they're doing. I don't want to hear about the game again until it's nearly done, they have something substantive to show, and they have an actual release window.
I mean, let's say hypothetically they showed a new CG trailer with zero gameplay and no release details. Would that satisfy anyone

Remember that 95% of the time when you read stories about The Last Guardian in the gaming press it's because somebody was asking about it in an interview or that somebody (*cough*IGN*cough*) is posting articles saying some dude in Russia said it was canceled. Sony hasn't been pushing it at all. Team ICO is a small team (a fact that seems to get forgotten an awful lot in this discussion...) that seems to have bitten off more than they can chew. But if Sony is still committed to it then fine. It doesn't actually cost more to have 50 people work on something for 10 years than having 500 people work on something for a year.
