You do know that if it ends up sucking, I'll be forced to laugh at you.

Dang, I thought it would take at least 3-4 posts before someone posted the Sonic Cycle image. The internet can be so unpredictable at times.

Yes. And I'll deserve it. But it seems to be what people have been asking for all along. The trailer shows gameplay, it seems to be just like the 16 bit games but with modern graphics, I think there's a high probability of success with this one. The first think they did was assure fans that there would be no stupid "friends". Now they say that this is a direct sequel to the 16 bit games, all the rubbish released in between is ignored like it should be, this is sonic 4. I think they're on the right path. It will be a pure oldschool platformer, no stupid gimmicks or attempts to seduce the action game crowd.

At least that's what I'm hoping for and I believe that they will deliver. I played these games to death when I was a kid, I was a fucking fanatic, I'd really love a game with the ability to bring all that back. The DS games were great but on the HD consoles they really have the possibility of taking it to another level while keeping the basic formula at the core.

That was hilarious.

Cool to see a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 being made, and I'm fine with DLC, but episodic content for a Sonic game? Meh.

Boo-episodes. I'll try this one out and completely skip over the black night, rush and dark chronicles.
