Mm.  I'm not up on the computer savvy lingo, or . .  really, anything computer related. Howwwwweeeever, I bookmark the forums and access the news from there. I got this message:

I dunno if the message itself is a scam, or if there is an issue >_>

Running Safari 4.0.4 and my Adblock is disabled since I 'effed something up on uLearn at school.

The only information I can offer is as follows:

the archive.html page in specific turned up something to do with gamesbasement(DOT)co(DOT)uk

I then found this http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.gamesbasement.co.uk

I can put two and two together. Dunno if anybody else can. PS: Firefox has better scripts than Safari for lower-end systems. I use a relatively old (six-seven year) computer, and find far better performance with Firefox. Dunno what you've got, just sayin'.

So it's my computer? I use a Macbook I got in '07. Granted, I've got these messages some times on other sites too. If it's something on my computer, I want to get rid of it. ._.

GamesBasement has an ad deal with RPGFan. It's not just archives.html. Every page outside the forums has a large GamesBasement banner in the top right of the site.

Some anti-virus / anti-malware stuff can be overprotective.

As for those reviews of Gamesbasement services, I assume they're in the same situation as Gamecave. They have no stock and thus have ridiculously bad turnaround times.

In layman's terms, your MacBook is being an overprotective, though very loving and nurturing mother.

Good Mac, good.
