Last week during the Akira Kurosawa movie marathon last month on TCM. Good movie. Puts LotR to shame with its lack of CGI.

Samurai Champloo and Ruronin Kenshin are both very good, but I haven't finished watching either.

It happens to be based on a very, very popular movie called The Seven Samurai, which was remade by Sergio Leone as The Magnificent Seven.

I couldnt stand Rurouni Kenshin the series, the Samurai X OVAs were fucking amazing though. Sword of the Stranger is a great movie.
