For me, it's between Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, or Xenogears. If I had to choose, Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger - Most refined mix of ingredients and best execution.
Final Fantasy VIII - Most creative mix of systems and most natural character development.
Suikoden II - Best overall story and most fun to actually play.

Earthbound.

After how many hours I spend on it, you'd think I'd say Persona 3, but Earthbound gave me a unique kind of experience that no other game gave me.

haha I love Rogue Galaxy what can I say. I'll put it this way...I saw the thread title and its what popped into my head as my fave. I am saying its my fave not trying to tout it as the best ever...there is no way I could answer that question as I've played only a fraction of the JRPGs ever.

Oh right, the question. I can't pick one. Seriously, I can't make up my mind. Though I love Xenogears I can see its flaws and would probably go with a PS2 SMT game. Maybe Persona 4.

My favorite JRPG is Xenogears.  Actually, it's my favorite game of all time as well.  Then it's a tie between Valkyrie Profile and Shining Force III.

I was trying to invite you, but you weren't online. I'll add you if you and me are both on at the same time. You can also ask anyone in the guild for an invite just type /who sparky and you'll get a list of the guild members that are online, you can ask one of them for an invite :D
