Got this from Neogaf/Dengeki

Quote
Takes place 5 years after Atelier Rorona

Totorie (...Totouria...? Helmond), age 13 is aiming to become an adventurer to find her mother who was an adventurer of significant reputation (hey look..instead of a son looking for his father in an RPG...a daughter looking for her mother lol)

Graphics have improved significantly and was to allow for Kishida Mel's designs to be represented more faithfully

Can go adventuring in the entirety of the continent of Arland
1.25x voiced parts compared to Rorona
Development is more or less done...just final polish
Rorona's 22 now.

There were some comments as to Rorona being a bit easy so difficulty has been increased.

Adventurer's permit/licensing system.

Sorta like Atelier Rorona 2.

While I'd just wish I could play Rorona in a language I understand already, I most certainly don't mind the knowledge that a follow up is in production ^^

Great news.  wildcard, NISA ought to be releasing Rorona in the US sometime this year...no specific date yet, though.

What's with the sudden glut of rpgs?

(I'm not complaining, it just seems like it came out of nowhere)

Really?  NISA has certainly said they're working on it and they've indicated it will probably be a summer release but I haven't seen anything official or as specific as June.  Since they just announced Trinity Universe for June I wouldn't be surprised if we see this in July or August.

I'm feeling the same way. I just got Resonace of Fate but decided not to even open it as I'm still working on SO:International and FF XIII.

Wow! Rorona went from looking like a 5 year old to the actual artist's depiction of the character!!!
VEERRYY impressive leap, graphically...  Shame I don't have a PS3... then again, I hate saying, I don't think an Atelier game worth the price tag either (or most NISA games).

Haha, I felt bad for this artist, Kashida Mel(?), though.  The first Atelier Rorona's graphics were pretty horrid.  Then their art gets turned into an anime that doesn't even resemble her style. (link contains ad's that are NSFW)
