Thanks for the pics! It looks gorgeous...pretty big improvement over what I've seen of Atelier Rorona.
Of course if history is any guide it will probably be another year+ after its Japanese release before we get it in English. And I'm not quite psyched enough about these games to try them in Japanese...

The character models certainly look lovely, but some of those environments--particularly the outdoor shots--are a bit bland. Oh well, it's not like I play Gust games for the graphics.

Well, that's a problem the first Rorona had as well, with its incredibly dull backgrounds. I love the character models though, especially adult Rorona. Despite how nice it is, I can already imagine people complaining about how it doesn't look like a "proper" PS3 game and therefore should be on the PS2.
I'd honestly be more worried about the game being a glitch-fest. Both Rorona and Ar tonelico 3 were quite glitchy games. Ar tonelico 3 actually had a very easy-to-access (It was something like R2+Triangle when inside the Cosmosphere) debug room and Rorona had some really bad freezing issues that -I believe- were patched.

Oh really? Then what do you call AT3's striperrific gameplay?
T&A's part of the graphics too, donchano.

Thanks for the better copies of these pics, looks beautiful. The upgrade to the character graphics looking much more like Kishida Mel's art is fantastic, and I actually like the improved but still simple charming backgrounds like in screen 1, or the snow in screen 8, or the overall view with the nice cloudy sky in pics 10, 20. There are also some nice pictures, like
this
one, of the outside of some of the town buildings that look really nice too. The newly improved character models look really nice in battle too now in these pictures.
It wouldn't shock me if some who don't know the series might complain but overall look is nice and seeing the portraits and stuff in HD, and now the new character models that look a lot like the art give it plenty of PS3 gains IMO.

If anyone is interested, Siliconera has posted another batch of screens. The character models look particularly nice.

This game`s coming out in a few days and the first part hasn`t even been localized yet. NISA`s priorities are seriously screwed up.

Relax, they're probably still just trying to program in at least one or two game crashing bugs right now.
After all it takes time to fuck up an otherwise perfectly good game.

I wanted to play rorona, but after seeing totori screens just make me want the last one so much more.
I honestly don't get it why they take so much to localize a game, I mean, if anything people in the west, on contrary to a good portion of the east is the we are "graphic whores". Not us, RPG fans, but the usual media , reviewers and all, and taking that long to bring it here just makes it look a little older.
Not that I care, but with it I believe some games don't get the attention they deserve, sometimes even from people that like RPGs, I have myself missed/skipped some good titles because of this stalling.

Gives me hope for Meruru (eventually)!
Although I guess I better play the first two games.
