Marvelous Interactive is working on a PlayStation 2 adaption of the popular anime Simoun. Tentatively titled Simoun, the game will combine adventure and strategy elements. The anime takes its viewers to a distant planet where humans are born exclusively as females. After they turn 17, they head for a fountain, where their gender is determined, before they become adults. The series' protagonists who man a small aerial battle ship by the name of Simoun, have remained girls, because their mission as soldiers prevents them from heading for the fountain in times of war. RPGFan will bring you more details on the game as they become available.

Simoun will be available in Japan sometime this fall.

i doubt many of you know this but the anime this game will be based on has shoujo ai/yuri elements. if you dont know what that means ill make it simple for you. Girl X Girl kissing scenes. i highly doubt it will make it over here unless the anime does but it will still be interesting to see how the game does profitwise.

Game adaptions of anime series are still quite popular in Japan, so it is reasonable to assume you can make money with them. I'm not sure,  whether that game will be released outside Japan. Generally the only games from Marvelous Interactive that are brought to the US are the Harvest Moon (Bokujou Monogatari) games. And even in the case of that rather popular series there are exceptions. For instance, nobody has picked up the rights to the series' solid new installment, Shin Bokujou Monogatari - Innocent Life for PlayStation Portable.
