To be honest, I hated all of the starters when I saw them. Prior to the release, people were making all sorts of
awesome, fake designs
by utilizing the teaser silhouettes, so when they actually released them, I was a little underwhelmed, especially with Wotter. The carrot nose is just...no. It, it just is.
But yeah, I've had a change of heart now and totally think that the stupid thing is adorable. Smugleaf is cool and all (confirmed for bro tier), and Piglit is way too happy and optimistic for his own good (which I generally like in my starters, a la Squirtle, the happiest freaking creature on the planet), but screw it, I'm still going with Wotter. I figure that he's going to harness all the sorrow and despair that the internet has instilled in him and grow up to have the most ridiculous final evolution ever because of his youthful, suicidal upbringing.

Haha, I love the name "Piglit". Somebody also suggested that it should evolve into "Pyroink", which I also love.
I'm probably still gonna go with Smugleaf, though. Unless his evolutions are hideous.

Wooper is way more happy than Squirtle, Wooper has no arms... anyone that happy with no arms need a damn Novel prize for "The happiest living thing on the planet" or something.

I want a bouncing tiger called Tiggir.

That's better than the "Pigdit" I came up with, but you can't tell me that the Fire Starter doesn't look like some Masked Pig (great, now I'm having flashbacks to episodes of Garfield and Friends (Roy Rooster had the Smuggest Smug Grin)).

Smugleaf --> Conseeded --> Treetentious
Piglit --> Pignite/Boarbeque --> Pignition/Keroswine
I don't remember what the internet decided on for Wotter.

Completely agree. Not big on Reshiram's look, but I really like Zekrom's.

Zekrom actually looks pretty cool. Not so keen on Reshiram, for some reason.

With the latest poke-news, I now wish I could play Black and White as Brock to make him try and hit on Professor Araragi in his bumbling Brock fashion.

I officially need a Shimama. I intend to ride it across Isshu, doling out electric fury to all who impede my noble steed's path.
