12 was just fine.  It just had bad netcode that didn't work outside of Japan.

well the most recent KOF that was good was 11.

The last great K.O.F. game was The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match. Is so mighty awesome that the game is going to get an update thanks to the guys of Tougeki (you know, that big event of those mad players out there in Japan. Is also know as "Super Battle Opera").

12 was bad.....

So bad, that put the name of SNK Playmore to shame for a lot of players around the world. But today, K.O.F. XIII looks like is going to be the new 3rd Strike (and yeah, that's something good).

Seriously, did you even play KoFXII?  The game was awesome.  Literally its only problem was bad netcode.  I have no idea why people keep pissing and moaning about how awful it was when it was probably the most technically competent game in the whole series.

Hey, don't get mad at me. ._.'

It's not my fault that the fighting game community and some people still have standards for the games they play. And yes, the game was not god awful (sometimes this thing with K.O.F. XII gets a little dramatic). But nobody can't change the fact that it was a huge disappointment for a lot of players.

for me personally i hate when a kof game comes around that purges a lot of characters wich 12 did. i'm sorta ADD so i cant always play the same character like some people can.

They had to purge some characters because they were changing over to a completely new art style.  The only reason you got 40-50+ charactes in the last few games was because they recycled sprites from 10 years ago.

And honestly, that's the only real complaint I ever get about the game.  "It didn't have Mai" or "Not enough characters".  I've yet to meet a single person who complained about the, you know, combat system in the game.

If your "standards" for fighting games revolve solely around the number of charactes in the roster, just go play Mugen.

KoF'98 wants a word with you about balance.

Regardless, XII wasn't bad, just too vanilla and short-winded. I'm looking to XIII to change that.

Problemw ith XII was that it offered little that others didn't already give. Why play KoFXII when you can play Blazblue or Street Fighter IV?

I'll save that judgment for when I see it in action. I hope they release video soon.

I couldn't be more torn graphic wise.  It looks... nice.  Kinda strange.  Hopefully it's one of those things that once it's in motion and people playing it, it'll look good.

It looks like Killer Instinct.

The gameplay looks incredible.

The colors are vibrant and the art is stylish.

Still 3 on 3 fighting.

I am pleased.
