The gameplay looks incredible.
The colors are vibrant and the art is stylish.
Still 3 on 3 fighting.
I am pleased.

I saw the game in action at E3, and hands down, this is a day one purchase. Everything just looks great and I can't wait until its released.

Lots of new characters announced recently: Chun-Li (duh), Doctor Doom, Super-Skrull, Trish, Thor, and Ameterasu.
Ameterasu sounds awesome. Can't wait to see videos of that.

Wesker? Cool. Now where the hell is Cammy? She hasn't been confirmed yet has she?

I thought you were going to say Christ is in the game. At this rate he might be.

Spiderman was an obvious shoe-in, but Wesker was an awesome surprise. Too bad Cyclops didn't make it (Marvel said no). Still holding out for Storm though.
IIRC, 13 more characters still need to be announced. Game is about 70% done and should be out early 2011...

Amazon gives me an April date. Lots of time for 13 character announcements. :-P
Spiderman = no surprise, but still awesome. I'd LOVE to see Storm added (I'm sure it'll happen... right?..RIGHT?)
I played it at E3 like three times. Can't wait.

That's what originally was planned but Shoryuken ran a story on Friday stating:
"Now, according to Examiner, that release window has been narrowed down to the first quarter of fiscal 2011 (which is Capcom's fourth quarter of 2010). This puts it somewhere between January 1 and March 31, 2011, and the information comes from a financial report shared with investors. Some other news from people who don't follow the game quite so closely:
-They are putting a beginner mode into the game. It's for people just starting out with fighting games or maybe just need a little help overall. Hitting "A" (game button A, not controller A) will let you do combos with only one button. Hitting "B" with an appropriate direction will make your character execute special moves. Hitting "C" will make your character use a hyper move. The downside to beginner mode, is that there is much less control over what moves come out and really is only meant to be a stepping stone for beginners. If you have played Blazblue Continuum Shift, it will probably be pretty similar to beginner mode in that game.
-The thing that has me really amped up is, many characters have quite a large variety of special moves at their disposal. The majority of them (iirc) come from different button inputs for the moves. Imagine Ryu's Hadoken in Street Fighter. Instead of different buttons making it come out at different speeds, it would be something similar to weak button does your standard fireball, medium button does a diagonal fireball, and fierce button does a fireball that begins normally but explodes mid-screen.

D'oh, guess i'm wrong.
On G4 Seth mentioned that they haven't announced how many characters there will be in the game yet (or if there are any hidden). So the 35 number might be wrong.
But hopefully that's right. Still would love to see more fighters since it's a team game.

That's a lot of fucking moves. (Capcom says it's not all of them...)
