Because they are all paid off, or have their careers held hostage by big name devs and pubs. Remember the Kane and Lynch fiasco? Or what happened to the Legend of Dragoon team?
What happened to the LOD team? Did someone have sex with them for making that masterpiece?

What happened to the LOD team? Did someone behead them for forcing that atrocity on humanity?
Also, the sand temple in Nier is a pain in the ass. I keep trying to walk slowly in that one puzzle and end up running and having to start over. It's frustrating.

I am now done with this game. I plan on reading through the Grimoire to see if it answers some of my questions.
Curious, but did you end up watching the other two endings on Youtube? I think they're worth seeing, but I definitely understand not wanting to play a third time and hunt all that equipment just for that.
And admittedly the music I like to listen to most tends to not be the stuff played the most, IE special event songs. And Wretched Automatons since that song happens to strike a chord with me (and I didn't seriously bother with quests requiring grinding in there for forever).

No, I haven't done that yet. I'll watch them sometime today. I started reading through the grimoire yesterday. Damn, that thing is chock full of stuff. Too much, really. Like someone else(Dice?) said, I would have liked to have seen some of it implemented in the game. At least as a codex type thing.
I quite liked the Junk Heap music. It just lost it's luster after the 6th or 7th visit there.
I'm definitely buying the soundtrack. I just might not listen to it for a week or so.

So I'm at the boss in the Desert Temple.
I have *no* health potions.
I suck at bullet hell shooters.
I am literally stuck.
I don't think I'm going to be able to complete this game, which is incredibly frustrating.
Yeah I can get past the rings, and even kill the arms, but once I get to the last part, I just die repeatedly.
The frustrating part is that if you continue you start with almost zero health.
I don't know if I can be bothered starting this over.

I got past this part eventually, might want to look up videos or a strategy of some sort. The Dark Lance spell helped A LOT with the earlier parts.
Also, if it's any consolation this is pretty much the only part of the game where this can happen, I suppose it could theoretically happen at the end too but 1. there's no save points anyway and 2. you're probably ridiculously overpowered and thus can make the game a non issue.
ALSO: you CAN adjust the difficulty on the fly unless I'm misremembering, so you could try toggling down to Easy if you don't give a damn about achievements (if there even ARE difficulty achievements).

You can change it to easy at the main menu and there aren't any difficulty based trophies.

I actually looked in the options in the game but didn't see it - do you mean the main menu before you load your game?

Correct. Not fully sure if it'll apply to your current game, but at this point anything's worth a shot, yes?

Yeah, you can only change the difficulty before loading your save file and it will apply to all saves. Additionally, having the game on easy decreases the drop rate of rare items. It's not really that much of an issue seeing as how you will still get enough items to upgrade at least a few weapons.

Aside from changing it to easy, use Dark Lance for most of the fight with words that increase the damage and decrease the cost. Also check if you have any words that will increase magic regeneration and magic defense.

Yeah, it worked. I got past the boss and now I'm in the Forest of Dreams.
Text adventures! :D
Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.

Are there any differences (Technically) with the PS3/360 versions? I really want to buy this game now that its $19.99 brand new on Amazon. From what i've heard of the soundtrack....holy crap its amazing! I may have to buy both the game and soundtracks.
