The games have a reputation for being ridiculously text heavy and thus why it looked like they'd never get localized. It's probably why they're getting all the Ys games out of the way, so they can build up interest and hit while it's hot before everyone has to wait on each entry in LoHVI.

I just hope they get all of them translated and out eventually. I would be crushed if we only got the first or first two games and not be able to get the last one because of the PSP market being dead.

The psp market is far from dead. And I emailed xseed and they said no matter the sales or the circumstances, the whole legend of heroes vi trilogy will be localized.

Good impressions on Ys and The Legends of Heroes, but...
Quote
A pretty nifty feature of Ys I & II Chronicles is that if you don't like the new tracks provided in the game you have the option to switch back to the old soundtrack.
How can you not like the new soundtrack of Ys I&II Chronicles is beyond me. Is one of most amazing arrange albums that I've heard along with Ketsui Extra, dondonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou and Etrian Odyssey Piano and Strings.
I mean,
HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS!
:T
Speaking of music, it seems that Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki is going to have a
huge
soundtrack. I think that is going to have like 3 or maybe 4 Discs of awesomeness.
Hope we get that game along with Brandish in the future.

Hoping that if they do decide to bring that over, they don't wait 'till Sora no Kiseki trilogy is done, because that might have us waiting until 2012!
I mean, I suppose it would lose some impact without playing all the games... but still that's a while D:
Anyhow, nice piece on Ys on the front page. Awesome to see someone giving it a nod at E3, the big places are all passing on it, it seems. They actually showed Oath in Felghana for 5 seconds during the PSP lineup preview at Sony's conference.

I'm surprised they didn't show Ys Seven, I figured that'd be easier to sell. Then again they showed two years back Valkyria Chronicles in the PSP montage, and that must have at least been partially to blame/thank for VC2 on the PSP.
... It'd have been funny if that were shown in the PS3 montage this time.

Ys seven was already shown before the event (weve seen shots, and even the collectors edition). They showed off III at the event. And I do think they will localize other titles besides The vi trilogy in 2011. I mean they are big games but not that big that 3 titles should take up a year.

I don't know how huge this soundtrack is going to be, but I'm sure that is going to blow my mind. All of this info was posted in the Ancient Land of Ys BBS.
There's no problem with this being posted here?

Hi there. I have the PC version of Sora Kiseki FC, though I'm having a bit of a problem with it, and I figured this was a good place to ask about it: The Language Barrier. Actually, I was able to get to the end of the Prologue. (A.K.A: After hearing of Cassius's 'predicament'.) Thanks to a handy Story Guide on GameFaqs, I was able to understand what was going on in the plot--until the guide stopped. It was never finished, and stops at the end of the Prologue. I very much want to continue this game, but the only FC guides available that go to the end of the game just tell me how to get through it, and not what's going on in the plot. Any advice?
(And while I probably will pick up the English version in 2011, I don't want to wait that long to play the game.)
