Some awesome deals I've made in the past.

Exchanged Mystaria, a not so good srpg for the Saturn, + $5 for Albert Odyssey.  I've conclude this deal with the owner of a local video game store that was hungry for money and knew nothing about videogames. I remember that there was a employee right behind the counter that couldn't believe what was going on.  I'm very surprised he didn't say a word.

That.Is.Impressive.Exchanged Mystaria is one of the few Saturn RPGs I do not have.Kudos for finding such a rare RPG.

It's intersting to see what is considered as rare. Well. I guess this are some of mine:

Shadow Hearts 1 (10 EUR)
Suikoden 3 (25 EUR), 4 (9 EUR) and 5 (15 EUR)
Star Ocean 3 (15 EUR)
Arc the Lad (10 EUR)

And I also have that Skies of Arcadia, but didn't get very far into it so far ^^° => 15 EUR
Tales of Symphonia => 25 EUR

Devil Summoner 1 (8 EUR) is somewhere in my pile as well... and I need to order 2 finally ><
I also have Grandia 3 which was super-hard to find for a reasonalbe price (25 EUR + 5 EUR porto) and I'm currently looking for Xenosaga 3 :3

There are probably some more games that I just bought when I saw them and didn't think of as rare.
I have to admit thought, that the game shop I have close by often has rare goodies. I went there with a few friends once, all who were looking for some older games and he pretty much had EVERYTHING they wanted. Except for one game.
Unfortuantely they didn't have enough money for all, so...

I enjoy hunting for rarities <3

The name of the game is not Exchanged Mystaria..........it's Mystaria!!!!  When I said exchanged Mystaria I meant that I traded Mystaria for Albert Odyssey.  By the way, this game can also be found under the name Blazing Heroes.   Very strange if you ask me.  Sorry if that was confusing, my first language is not English.

I saw grandia xtreme today in a locally owned store, but it was $20 and I forgot if it was well received here
I also got odin sphere a while ago from that place and it was that same price
this is surprising since grandia was released around 8 years ago and odin sphere probably 2 years ago

So what *is* considered rare for PS2 besides the SMT games?

For some reason I keep seeing Xenosaga III for something ridiculous like $40-50 in the used store I usually go to.

Did it have a low print run?

Quite a big list, actually. You'll be surprised.

I managed to nab Disgaea early after its original US release, back then it definitely wasn't common at all.

Also got Digital Devil Saga 2, but I don't have the first one. I had hoped to stumble upon that one eventually, but apparently not. I probably should buy it online, at least.

Well it actually made it to GH status, so it's not that rare.

I think the second game is the rare one.

i'm pretty sure episode 2 was the only xeno game to be released in europe
and that sucks a lot because I liked episode 3 a little more than xenogears D:

Star Ocean: The Second Story for $20 Canadian, and Kingdom Hearts RE Chain of Memories (PS2) for $20 Canadian, through a deal on craigslist.

Refer to previous posts in this thread. It sums up quite a bit of it.

You mean the lists of things that were rare in Europe but like Greatest Hits titles in America?

I have a chipped PS2 :3 Having to import and play in english will not stop me. But it is hard to find for a price I'm willing to pay. Regular checking out of my sources helped so far in all cases :D

And even thought I have already been spoiled about the ending, I want to see it myself. And what goes on with my favourite characters. And.... I think Canaan (or something like that was his name) is playable in that game. :3 Him and Chaos would surely make a nice team ^^ And perhaps Junior ... I'll have to see what the game has to offer.
