People are working on something to help stop the leak, or at least slow it considerably. - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Plugging-the-Gulf-oil-leak-with-the-works-of-Ayn-Rand/125031037519289

I had a dream last night that people were throwing books at George Bush because he doesn't like books.

Books are the answer to all of America's problems.

Sarah Palins totally insightful and relevant remarks - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/03/sarah-palin-blames-enviro_n_598977.html

This will be the response to any suggestions about opening up ANWR, now and forever.

The solution to our energy problem is to start opening up nuclear power plants across the country.  We need to start building them, right now.  Americans need to get this "NOT IN MY BACK YARD!!!!!!!" mentality out of their heads.

It looks like some sort of bird...Though that's only because of the long beak/snout.
Could be some sort of mammal, though I would go more bird than mammal.

I have opinions on this but Parn keeps pontificating them on my behalf. lol

But honestly, in the people/resources class I took last semester (it had a long name), we basically concluded that there is no single quick fix to the petroleum-dependency problem. It will take a total overhaul of our economic infrastructure, basically, GOODS SHOULD BE PRODUCED/MANUFACTURED LOCALLY when at all possible (food in particular) so we aren't constantly and ridiculously shipping all types of shit all over the fucking planet all of the fucking time. Unless maybe if we embrace several different alternate energy sources at once and to their fullest extent, then that would probably help. But not solve. Most of these new sources of energy are very much non-viable. Ethanol, wind, water sources will not suffice. At some point in the somewhat-near future, thing are gonna change. Whether these changes our voluntary on our part is up to us, but the planet is eventually gonna get fed the hell up, and stop fueling our totally unsustainable way of doing things. Damn I wish I remembered the numbers that textbook gave us right now but I was already of an environmentalist persuasion and they shocked even me. **** can't go on the way it has been for much longer, though, that's for sure.
