FFVI had a lot of optional content when compared to FFIV DS. That's a lot of potentially unreviewed work! I'd buy it in two seconds, just like every other FF remake.

I played Crisis Core core again last evening. The ay they redid familiar areaes in that game could've been a good groundork of assets for a FF7 remake on psp.

When I first saw the Demo Trailer to of FF7 to show of the things the PS3 could do I deserpately wanted a remake of FF7.
Now, that years have passed and I've played more games - old and new ones, I have to say: I don't care.
Seriously. The game is good, I enjoyed playing it, but...
I enjoyed it the way it was, but it's over. Let the good things remain good. Just imagine they'd make a re-make with a linear main story only and no side quests or option to access the world map.
If a game is considered good, allow it to be that way and don't demand a re-make that might destroy the flair.
Honestly thought, Final Fantasy once used to stand for great story and stuff. Nowadays it stands for good graphics (only) for me. There have been quite a lot new games released by SE that I checked up and then didn't bother to look at again until they were released and most of the time the kind of players that have similar taste to me said exaclty what I thought they were going to say.
The only Final Fantasy game I'm currently interested, is the one that hasn't had any news recently. Final Fantasy Agito.
I will not buy any remakes of games I have already played over and over again already. Given certain circumstances I might make an exception, but so far that hasn't happened.
The only remake I'd buy instantly would be a Suikoden 1 & 2 remake.

Given the linear piece of shit the world of FF13 delivered us, and that took them 3-4 years, how would they make an entire world?
I think the number one cause for really long dev times is an inept dev team that can't work efficiently. And then they trump it up like they spent five years on content when in reality it's more like they spent one year on content and four years masturbating to Cambodian underaged horseporn.

Also, if it took that long, it'd hit SE's ability to create other masterpieces (when was the last one...?)
The World Ends With You?
It's so funny, I always forget this is a SE game. It just doesn't feel like their style, but you are, indeed, 100% correct. Need more candy cane!

Good post wildcard. You pretty much said all that is need to be said at this point, but I also remembered this
review of Action Button about Final Fantasy XIII
that I read a couple of months ago while reading the post of MeshGearFox.
Is long, confusing and interesting, I hope that you can read the whole thing guys (and girls, or whatever).
