I managed to get in some hands-on play of this today; it's come out earlier than expected in the UK.

... wow.

I mean... wow.

It's absolutely not what I was expecting. Granted, I'm not sure what I /was/ expecting, but it wasn't a slightly unpolished, strange, PSO-a-like version of a fantasy-themed Deus Ex, which is at the moment the only possible recourse I have. It's rough around the edges, and laggy, and I'm not far in, but having your thief CdG a sleeping kobold from sneak in the middle of a torchlit cave just before said thief backflips out of combat as the fighter rushes in and the mage starts throwing spells... well, that's fun. I gotta find me a core group.

I was thinking about jumping into MMORPGs again and I was unsure where to go. I might check out the d&d since it's pretty new.

Additional: However, DDO earns major negative points for not allowing you to access US servers from a UK copy and vice versa. I really do hate that.
