Xenoblade + The Last Story

I think after Baten Kaitos Origins, which apparently didn't sell too well, Nintendo wrote off all console jRPGs. That's just my opinion, and if it turns out to be true, it isn't a very good reason, as Baten Kaitos Origins didn't have much advertising, and it's been six years since.

Somewhat off topic, has there been any news on a third title in the Baten Kaitos series?  I personally think this series is really underrated, and I haven't found a shred of news on a new entry at all.

There's a picture floating around that looks like Diadem without the clouds. No one is sure, but Monolith Soft is definitely making a new game for the Wii-U.

So xenoblade will hit Europe on September 2nd. I hope it does well.

I just hope it gets announced for NA before then, or there will be a lot of pissed off people who will have ordered it from Europe.

The first game was okay, it had rather weak and unoriginal characters (e.g. Wakka Gibari) but it was made up for by a plot twist. The battle system can be fun at times, but it's also needlessly complicated and tends to drag on somewhat.

Baten Kaitos Origins improved on the first in just about every way possible, though there aren't a lot of new areas, and it can feel like a bit of rehash when you're mostly visiting places you've been before. I would normally recommend skipping ahead to this, but there are lots of references to BK that I wouldn't want to miss out on. It's probably the best traditional RPG on the Gamecube (excluding the port of Skies of Arcadia), which might seem like damning it with faint praise, though I did like it a lot.

From what I've seen xenoblade looks absolutely fantastic but the character design seems really uninspired. Like Eusis said above, it seems to be the game the genre needs right now.

Wait, we (Europeans that is) are actually getting this before NA? What the? Someone in Japan must have gotten the wrong map. Either that or this game is terrible, since we usually get screwed out of the better titles (with a few notable exceptions, lets hope this is one of them).

The gameplay vids I saw of Pandora's Tower kinda ...feel half assed.  The game's boss battles are totally like a Zelda game... if you only had the hookshot.  haha

Earth Seeker, being a non-Nintendo game, isn't in the same shitty position. Although, was it even received that well? I won't be too upset about missing it unless I hear a lot of gushing come forth.
