One game you'd want Next-Gen Remake?

The Guardian Legend...

FUCK! That game is amazing. Noone's done anything like it since. Talk about a really interesting setup for a game of that time. It's probably the biggest standout game of my childhood, along with Mario 3. A remake would probably end up something like a cross between Metroid: Other M and Starfox. So full of opportunities though.

BTW: I thought that that game did an amazing job in terms of overall world expansion. Probably one of the best until a few generations later when Ocarina of Time came out.

I totally agree.  I'm glad I got some feedback about that game because it is my favorite NES game and it deserves a remake.  Crystalis was just as awesome too, as beach1 said.

What do you guys think about the other two I mentioned; Destiny of an Emperor and The Magic of Scheherazade?

I played Scheherazada on my cousin's b&w tv back in the day. We couldn't say the name of the game so we called it "shletzerlade"

I didn't get far but I thought it was cool. I like hiring people to fight for you. It had like an arabian nights theme, no?

Yeah, it did.  I liked the fact that you could travel around and fight like in Zelda, but on the other hand get into party battles, like most turn-based RPGs.  While I liked the story and characters, I thought the music was wonderful for the NES.  Speaking of which;

Hell yes.

Probably one of the coolest games for it's time and place.

It IS remade for ps2 and saturn but it was never release in usa.

Actually, no, seriously? Legend of Mana. Because I think that's honestly the most potentialful thing Square made and as it is they sort of fucked it up royally.
