I hate the fact that the game was barely relesed and its already got DLC coming out. Its one thing to expand on a complete product if it does well, but striping a game down to make some quick additional cash (as seems to be the case here) is a completely different story. Its their product so they can do whatever they want and no one is forced to buy it, and for all I know I might be wrong about this anyway, but I just dont like the way this looks.

Having EA buy your company has this effect on your product.

For what it's worth, I never got a vibe that leads me to believe anything was stripped out for future DLC purposes.  That would imply that there was actual content to strip out at some point, and I find that hard to believe. :P

I don't know if it's an epeen thing or something, but are some people deliberately taking longer than they should to beat a game? I don't mean taking your time and getting immersed, don't get me wrong. I've already seen multiple sources claim that Dragon Age 2 is more than 30-40hours. Lying about how long a game is doesn't help people who are interested in playing it. I did every quest/side quest/best gear in Dragon Age 2 in 22 hours total(Not rushing/FAQ help for champion and companion armor pieces). My brother beat it in 27hours doing mostly everything and he left it running when he had to multitask.

I'm not saying this to be a dick or anything. It just makes no sense to lie when it comes to game length. We have all been there, claiming we put more hours into a game than we actually did or saying a certain game is 30hours more than it actually is. The sooner people stop doing this, the sooner people will stop being disappointed with a certain game because it happened to end 40hours earlier then it should have.

Just throwing this out there...

The answer to that is they may not be lying, the hours taken to complete a game can vary a lot from person to person. Why this is, I don't know. You can see this on Bioware's forums on the user profiles, at least in DAO. If you upload your data there it records the hours played, and I've seen everything between 20 and 100+ hours to do almost everything in DAO. Obviously this is a shorter game, but the point stands.

And no, I've never claimed a game is longer than it actually is, I don't see why anyone would do that.

Hey, I've beaten this game and it took me 40 hours to get through just act 1 on my first try. Take that to mean what you will. I spend too much that in shops but that still doesn't explain the length.

I love the quests too. Nearly all of them actually have some story to them. Good stuff.

I do love all the secondary quest since they have their own stories. The combat is much more dynamic since you have to react to spawning enemies and subtypes such as Assassins and Mages. I like how all 3 classes are now equally powerful and each of them has powerful attacks. The most damaging attacks come from cross class combos so its certainly feels like every class has an important role in my party.

The story I enjoy quite a bit. Its much more personal and darker than DA:O. I also enjoy seeing the results of my actions in the next act through letters, etc. This game is not about the sterotypical epic quest to save the world from some ancient evil thats been done to death in RPG. Instead its about learning who your hawke is and how he reacted to out of control events in kirkwall.

I feel a large part of the enjoyment of the game is derived from learning more about various aspects of the setting. If you don't care about learning about the world of Thedas than a large part of the joy of playing the game is lost.

Of course, just like DA:O, my favorite part of the game is the companions and their banters. Their individuals quests are much more developed than in DA:O and much more enjoyable way to get to know your companions.

We recorded it on Saturday; we should have it ready to go sometime in the next couple of days.

Looks like the DLC achievos are bugged and not working.  Just a heads up incase I wasn't the last person on Earth to know this.
