I for one cant wait to play this. Platinum-ing Bayonetta for the PS3 was one of my best experiences as a lover of the combo/beat-em-up genre.

Vanquish is amazing. FUCKING. Amazing. Every bit of the game shown is just.. pushing third persion action to the next level.

Im glad theres at least three of us here psyched out for this. That news article Jet posted got me thinking, what do you guys think Platinum is going to do when their contract is over? Should they stay with Sega (it seems like they were given complete creative control to make the games they wanted to make) or should they move on to someone else?

Wow, that does show a lot of promise. The only thing that unsettled me was the 'on the knees' bullet-time sequence. It just made me think of 'Wet'. THAT game really let me down. But hey, maybe Vanquish will dethrone Bayonetta as my fave action game ever. Who knows?

It can only do that for me if super hard mode is named something more awesome than non-stop climax mode...
You also became my favorite person for admitting that Bayonetta is wonderful.

Holy shit, that looks amazing. Pure adrenaline. I hadn't even heard of this game before, but those videos totally sold me.

I wasn't a believer, but I've recently seen some gameplay vids and I was blown away!!
Looks like a crazy/fast fun experience. And yet it feels like a perfectly-polished, slick game! Getting that demo as soon as it drops...
Too bad SEGA is handling the marketing...

A few words on the differences of the versions:
http://www.siliconera.com/2010/08/26/platinum-games-promise-no-noticeable-differences-in-vanquish-on-ps3-and-360/
Since Sega isn't handling the port this time it's probably safe to assume that the differences will be minute.

I still don't buy Bayonetta because of the "fiasco" that happen with the port. I don't plan to get a 360 just for one game that I can play in my PS3, but I guess that sooner or later I will buy it.
After all, the patch fixed the game (a little):

But still, how do you screw that up?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the demo is a prequel to the game, right?
If it is then nice!

This has potential to be really good. Can't wait for the demo, I hope the game lives up to expectations.
