A fraction of the shit that goes on in the PC game King of Dragon Pass. The game is totally awesome. Get it.
Edit: Actually probably best if I don't show them all. Keeping the duck one though, spoilers be damned.

Almost did during the sale.. then had second thoughts. Glad to hear it's as good as it seems.

Can't tell if it's laughing or yawning.

Yep, owls are idiots. They're outsmarted by freakin' chickens! But at least tv shows and movies are right about another bird: ravens are highly intelligent. Great problems solvers. Crows are neat too, because they adapt to new environments so easily. When I was little one of our neighbours had a crow called Karel and once he had figured out we brought lunch and snacks with us to the swimming pool, he'd tag along and hang out with us there.

I think the owl is my spirit animal then; because we both look smarter than we actually are (which doesn't get you very far on a text-based forum).

Can you write in the Death Note with a pencil? That seems sort of cheating...

I'm sure it's a fine and thought-provoking novel.

Old, but still true

Amazing closeups of snowflakes:

I can't help but wonder if they've been shopped, but I HAVE seen some pretty up close through my own photography, and they are incredible.

I can see why you would think that, the way crystallization is supposed to work, a few of those shapes would be nearly impossible to achieve in nature.
