I liked the Doctor + Kes duo. They were awesome together.

Considering she was supposed to die at the age of 9 I think she's doing ok

Then she left, got better, then came back a few seasons later for some kind of ill conceived revenge plot.

Goddamn did Voyager suck. The Doctor was honestly the best part of the show.

I tried watching it from the beginning recently. The 1st 5 or 6 eps all focus on some bizare time paradox that doesn't make any sense.

No, but in Voyager's case it results in horrible dialog with the worst Treknobabble ever. I want to know how the actors deliver some of these lines.

Honestly the first couple of seasons are unwatchable given how much they constantly bring up their desire to go home. ("WE'RE STUCK IN THE DELTA QUADRANT FOR THE NEXT X NUMBER OF YEARS! SOMEBODY HALP US! WE ALL JUST WANNA GET HOME IN TIME FOR FUTURE FRIENDS BEFORE JOKES/REFERENCES BECOME DATED AND THEY STOP AIRING THE RERUNS!!!".)

 I'd always said there was just one voyager ep I really liked, where the ship and the entire crew cloned and in the end it was the cloned ship that survived while the original was destroyed.

...buuut then I heard someone say that I was wrong and it was the original that survived after all. So nothing redeeming about the show at all.

If there was anything Voyager was consistent on, it was inconsistency. Hell, just look at any time the Prime Directive got brought up. Half the time Janeway would be "We must respect the Prime Directive at all costs. Even if it means losing a crew member/a chance to go home in the process." and the other half would be "To hell with the Prime Directive! Just blow it up and be done with it.".
