Looks like this place is gonna be an imgur repost thread slowly....good!?

Let's offset Yodes' cancer post with ....DUCKIES

Also just tossing in something I drew.  ANY time I got too bored/sick to keep studying for midterms, I added a few lines and scribbles.  I was also reading a lot on Bernini, so he influences the bare deets of the cape.  This was "in one shot", so there's a lot of fuck ups here and there, but basically when I drew a line, I more or less committed to it and went with the flow.  I'd definitely change the "Bowser spike" shoulder pads...but I was happy with it for the most part and made studying better.

That is not a bad picture at all. I wish I could draw half as well as that.

Having dealt with that set of photos first hand when my mom died of cancer a few years back, I can safely say that though I dislike the end result to it, more people should be exposed to the darker sides of cancer. It might trigger a bigger outcry to do something more serious about it. Tv and stories do little to show how much cancer can change a person's entire life physically, but this photo collection showed it pretty bluntly. I'm sorry she didn't make it honestly, and even more sad to know she left behind a man that loved her, but it's a good show with a great shock factor. I appreciate you for bringing it her yodes.

I can also relate, as my mother died of Ovarian Cancer 12 years ago. Fought it for 3 years or so. It's crazy, and so very sad, how much it changes EVERYthing.
Great, now I'm thinking about it again. Thanks, Yodes!
I agree, though, that the harsh reality is something that should be presented just a tad more often. Not necessarily on a gaming board, bot SOMEwhere.

We aren't in the gaming section of the boards, this is the "everything else" bit of the boards, and cancer is something everyone has come into contact with at some point, so you can't really say that just because this forum is created for a gaming website, it isn't relevant to anyone here. So other than not giving a proper warning, I don't think Yoda did anything wrong.

EDIT: I just saw that duck gif. HEART MELTING. Awww.

I will steal both the pic and the caption from where I saw this, because it seems pretty accurate: Bollywood Steampunk.

^ Adore her!!!!  Beautiful combo.  You always see steam punk with some sort of Victorian era clothes and such.... so good to see an Indian lady ignore the second homeland's fashion and sticking with her own. (#BADJOKE)  But really nice, and very creative.... WHY HAS NO ONE DRAWN THIS?!

I fucked laughed way too hard for some reason

Yeaaah... so that's makeup... and I want cyber....legs.

Finally, drawing of someone drawing (#INCEPTION?) from Makoto Shinkai's latest film... I'm not crazy about his work, but I'm usually distracted by how perfect they look most of the time anyways.

Watching people that know how to draw like that is frustrating because they make it so easy

Exactly. It's always driven me nuts, because I so desperately wanted to be able to draw when I was younger. I tried and tried, and barely put forth anything worth looking at. Then an arty friend of mine slaps down a piece of paper, and busts out a masterpiece, with what looks like minimal effort. It truly is an innate talent.
I was forced to learn to create art through manipulation of nature. Now THAT I can do.
