Namco Vs Capcom? Capcom Vs Namco???

Remember that mediocre SRPG crossover called Namco X Capcom that some idiot always keeps on his "Localize Now" list and that somehow eventually laid the groundwork for SRT:OG Saga?

Apparently they may be remaking it into the game it should have been (regardless if you prefer SFIV or Tekken 6).

I hope this isn't the "earth shattering" announcement Capcom is going to make soon. Those cross-overs don't sound very exciting to me.

I don't know. Sounds too good to be true, but there's more then one source spreading this rumor. I suppose we'll find out whether this is reality or a sham come Comic-con.

Can we please have a Breath of Fire character in this game?  Tales vs. BoF would be pretty cool.  We've already got Megaman Legends in there, so I'm already excited, but a BoF character making the cut would just be fantastic.  I'm pretty sure there were already BoF characters in the SRPG version, so it's not too much of a stretch.

Can we please have a Breath of Fire character in this game?  Tales vs. BoF would be pretty cool.  We've already got Megaman Legends in there, so I'm already excited, but a BoF character making the cut would just be fantastic.  I'm pretty sure there were already BoF characters in the SRPG version, so it's not too much of a stretch.

This. I'm sick of Capcom ignoring Breath Of Fire. It's time to bring it back, or at least let us know that they still care about the series. Ryu should be in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

He already is, the Street Fighter one anyway.  I think that's one of the main problems with squeezing him into a fighter, he has the same name as their fighting game all-star.  I'm hoping to see a character more along the lines of Nina (Who is a Tekken character...) or Rei.  Katt would be fantastic too, or maybe evan Rand or Ursula.

Rei would be cool. He uses the double daggers. Perfect for a fighting game. Maybe even Fou-Lou or Teepo would be good characters to put in. I can't remember his name, but the cool dog samurai character in BOFIV.

Though namco vs capcom would be cool if the gameplay is tight.  Wouldn't mind a playstyle similar to the CvS2 series. To me, a good intermediate between Marvel and SSF4 would be perfect

Not quite. According to the rumors, CAPCOM's game would use the SF4 engine, whereas Namco's game would use the Tekken 6 engine. There would probably be additional mechanics and whatnot, but regardless, 2 different engines (with possibly somewhat differing rosters,) make for 2 different games.

Welp. Not entirely the game I was expecting but it makes a hell of a lot more sense this way anyways since you don't have to worry about assholes playing as Pac-Man or something.
