NDS RPGs are a bore lately. Tales of Innocence, a trusted franchise, wasn't too good.
Tales games are always a bore.
Innocence certainly is.

Regardless, the game had better allow players to change the main character's name. Stok is just plain bad. Worse than Shulk. I usually tend to go with default names, but sometimes they need tweaking. Keris > Dagger.

But then Lok and Baeral will need new names too.

True. Though if they were spelt right (Lock, Stock, Barrel) and Barrel is the girl, she could have one of those melodramatic anime hissy fits lamenting why a cute li'l slender A-cup honey like her had to be named BARREL!

RS sucked, but I'd be willing to try this if Atlus is doing it

I have a love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with RS. Here's hoping they get it right this time.
Please justify your existence. Radiata Stories was probably the only good JRPG on a console system since the dreamcast. If not one of the only good few games on the ps2.
Sucks that it's a DS game though. But seriously, it's like the planets aligned and a good ps2 game was actually possible. Get this, it even had cutscenes you couldnt skip and it was still a good game. Hell and it had the Square-Enix brand on it and it was made by Tri-ace to even top that.
Whos monkey paw wish was this? Hell if I know but this game made me feel like a kid again.

Atlus confirms that they are the ones making this game, former Radiata staff are only responsible for the concept and visuals:

Well, it looks like Stock will not be accompanied by Lock and Barrel. I wonder if the game will allow me to rename Erica and Rainey to Lock and Barrel. Pretty music.

Glad to hear that Yoko Shimomura is composing the soundtrack. Should be good.

I finally got around to reading
this article
it makes that battle system sound like it's similar to Cross Edge (based on all I read about both games)
haven't played cross edge, but this worries me :(

Radiant Historia... Japan really loves their "engrish/spangrish and the fuck" types of names for their RPGs. I still remember people talking in NeoGAF about how Infinite Undiscovery was the most ridiculous name for a game, ever.
Anyway, I'll wait for my spam from Atlus about Radiant Historia in the future and some reviews. The only thing I'm liking so far is the lovely music.

I dug the music, particularly the vocal at the end.
