Additionally Doom is a game about killing satan and his demonic hordes. It's a perfectly goodly Christian game in that sense. I mean if look I know the Good Book doesn't make any mention of Mars, but I'm pretty sure if demons invaded it, The Pope himself would go there in a b..attlesui..t to f...uck some shit... up............. WAIT THAT NEEDS TO BE A GAME. NOW.

But you see a good Christian would not kill the demons himself. He would pray for Jesus to come down and kill them.

Somebody should make a game where you play as Jesus, killing demons.

Additionally bible is rife with potential game ideas like pretty much anything out of the Old Testament. Just read this since it articulates the idea better than I could.

A little bump to this thread comes from this:

Famitsu - 'Greatest Games of All-Time' list by readers

1.Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP)
2.Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (DS)
3.Final Fantasy XIII (PS3/360)
4.Final Fantasy X (PS2)
5.Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 (PS2)
6.Final Fantasy VII (PS)
7.Tales of Vesperia (PS3/360)
8.Xenogears (PS)
9.Monster Hunter Tri (Wii)
10.Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
11.Machi (SS)
12.Yakuza 4 (PS3)
13.Tales of the Abyss (PS2)
14.Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (PS2)
15.Okami (PS2)
16.Resident Evil 5 (PS3/360)
17.Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP)
18.Tales of Graces (Wii)
19.New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
20.Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (SNES/PS)

Why would I put it in the RPG thread ? Well, considering more than half of the list are RPGs that's fair enough.
Oh, and this list is voted by readers, so we don't need to take into consideration the huge amounts of money famitsu probably charges for most of their reviews these days.

You're right, this is now a dictatorship. :)

The best game of the decade is Digimon World: Data Squad (lowest score I could find).

Anyone who disagrees will be taken to the re-education center immediately.

Japan is trolling right? They must be trolling with this shit... also what the hell is a "Machi"? I'm going to use the powers of Google to investigate.

Most things work that way- recent things get higher scores because if you played it recently, it's probably clearer in your mind. When we rate the best US president and worst US president, oftentimes the current president will be within the top 5 of both.

Generally if something old's on the list then that means it's probably really tremendous and are the ones worth looking at (With the aforementioned best presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are often cited as in there).

So the ones "really" worth looking at from that list are FF7, Tactics Ogre, and Machi (It's an adventure game that's related to that other one that got a 40 from Famitsu a while back). I can't say anything about Machi, but I can understand why the former two would make it onto such a list.

Exactly, Hathen. That list is mostly awful, but I understand how it came about. My own list would be quite different.
Now that could be fun...
I have absolutely no idea what my #1 game of all time is, let alone my top 25.
