If you haven't been to GOG recently, it was said they were bringing down the site. But I guess it was just a publicity stunt and they are actually bringing their site out of Beta. The new site is going to be back up tomorrow and it's going to have some new releases. Some rumors have been that one of those games will be Baldur's Gate.
I'm excited to see what the new releases will be and I urge everyone to check out the site tomorrow and support them! A site that lets you buy Arcanum DRM free and working on Vista is a good site in my book.

"Shutting down" was a hoax.

Way to instill trust in your consumer base.

They occasionally have decent stuff but they're mostly a receptacle for Eastern European shovelware. It's telling when like, half the games on their site are made post 2003 and are fucking awful.

I think the reason there's a lot of Euro stuff is that CD Projekt is based out of Poland, and they own GOG.  I wasn't a fan of the stunt, but I do love GOG, so I'm glad they got Baldur's Gate.

So when they hopefully get BG2, I can finally stop exposing my already incredibly scratched original game cds to even more danger. :D

I've only bought one thing from them, the Might and Magic I-VI collection.  They didn't have a whole helluva lot of RPG's if I remember.

The deal notes that they are doing several Hasbro games.  Wouldn't surprise me to see Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment make it, too.
