Final Fantasy Legend III Remake for DS:

Square Enix opened up its new SaGa portal last week with a tease for a new entry in the long running RPG series. The identity of the new game has leaked out in advance via Famitsu.

The new game is a DS remake of Game Boy's SaGa 3: Jikuu no Hasha. The original was released domestically 1991 followed by an overseas release under the name Final Fantasy Legends III two years later.

The DS remake is titled SaGa 3 Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light. Players can look forward to updated visuals and new gameplay systems.

:(  Saga 3 is a SaGa game in name only.  It's basically a standard JRPG except you can make your dudes into Cyborgs and Monsters and shit.  Disappointing.

Square, just translate SaGa 2 DS for the US, and make us a new game like Minstrel Song.

This this and this. The SaGa 2 DS soundtrack was total fail, it made me cry big tears. Big ridiculous tears.

Now if you're saying SaGa 3 is more fun than Chrono Trigger ... uh idk. Then again I haven't played SaGa 3 since I was like, 9 years old. So we'll see. The game actually shared some team members with the folks who made FF Mystic Quest for SNES (just check the graphic similarities, and it's the same music composers!). If they do this DS remake in a style that's all-together different from SaGa 2 DS, there's hope.

Now as for SaGa 1. That didn't get a DS remake. Why? I guess cuz they did it on WonderSwan color at some point, right? They should port that as a download-only item for the PSP and offer it for like $10. I'd buy that.

Oh, good thought! A remake of RS2 would be much appreciated. ESPECIALLY on PS3 and in a similar style to Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song! :) :) :)

I'd also LOVE a PS3 remake of RS3 in the style of Minstrel song as well. I would be so happy if they made one.
