Cladun is an rpg and has a release date that's surprisingly soon.
Tactics Ogre has a rewritten story (well it is supposedly a rebuilding, not remake)
psn gets Front Mission 3, but only in Europe.
I'm worried about North America possibly not getting that last one on psn.
edit: a new P3 thingy for cell phones

We are still waiting for Vagrant Story (and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions).

Persona 3 is the modern Final Fantasy VII, and at this point is no surprise.

You're still waiting for that to happen? I give up on that one.

Actually, Square took some time and made several new games before they when back and started milking the FFVII franchise.  And even if the FFVII spinoffs weren't all great they were at least completely original games.  Though I do like Atlus, what they're doing with P3 seems even worse.

Yeah, I can't really support the milking of the P3 "franchise."  This is 4 games in 3-4 years, not to mention P4 was pretty much P3 with a facelift.  It took SE some 10 years before they made the FFVII games.  Lunar is a much better comparison, but someone beat me to it.

Cladun has some shoes to fill what with 3D Dot Game Heroes, Half-Minute Hero, and Breath of Death VII filling out that semi-ironic nostalgia niche.  Cladun really has to do something completely different to stand out, and it looks like it has some unique play mechanics.

With original IP-s like Catherine popping up from them, I will gladly support their every move, even if it means the milking of P3 for years to come.

The funny thing about Catherine is that kinda of a spin-off of a non-canon game in the Persona series. Because Catherine and P3P are (again) kinda related to each other thanks to the cameo of Vincent in P3P.

I saw that too and figured it was probably a way to make people think "who is that?" since he has a portrait
and do some research and end up finding out about this new non-SMT game (Vincent being in the english version may be a hint that atlus intends to localize it)

It's likely harder to remove a character than it is to simply translate the dialogue, though it was probably decided from the start they'd try to make it a game that could sell in America anyway since it's a PS360 title.

That is exactly how I feel. I really hope any original IPs they do, sell as well as their flagship stuff.
