(AND Radiant Historia that, iirc sold way below expectations on week 1)

The week isn't even over yet and there are sales figures out already?

Someone must have been hitting VGChartz!

I meant RH got like 32-3k in week 1 (Japan) but was aiming for 140k or at least over 100k?

And now we get Catherine, that makes 160k (pretty sure it was aiming for 150) again in 1 week.
BUT it looks like I missed a certain article about RH.

Radiant Historia, AKA "Chrono Trigger 2" for what it's worth, will unfortunately be a total failure in Japan if things continue as they are.

For the life of me I can't understand what the hell is going on with the gaming community in this country. They are becoming more and more otaku-oriented and thus the only profit centers are literally otaku nonsense like Gundam or Idolmaster, or mindless fanservice like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

Radiant Historia should have been a smash hit for the amount of talent, effort, and sheer brilliance that was put into the game.

Solatorobo should also have been a smash success rather than the huge commercial failure it ended up. I just finished it today and was totally floored by the ending and the game in general, even if it was a bit on the annoying/repetitive side.

QFT. Japan is a huge fan-service blob right now.

One day it has no plans to come here, the next day we're getting trolled?  How unlike Atlus...or any company to be so wishy-washy...

When asked directly they're going to say "No" even if they'll announce it the next day. Only a leak would get them to admit it pre-emptively.

There have been a couple retailer leaks, like the GameStop one that got pulled, but I'm not sure of their validity.

GDC is coming up, though. Any prayer of an announcement around that time?

Mm, I dig that, I just found the statement a bit dead-ended at first in regards to it, is all.

Anyways, YouTuber MasterLL (purchaser and quite the talented JRPG-er on YouTube) has been putting up videos.  Amazingly done cutscenes to say the least.  More than that though, I'm really happy to see Soejima's style in longer animated sequences (and certainly higher budgeted than P3 was).  The transition to 3D was quite gallant as well.

... is it weird to say how much Vince's eyelashes irk me?  Funny how despite guys being as pink-lipped as girls, games avoid the aspect.  Same goes for lashes.  $0.02.

Very sweet. I think July is the only month of the year that doesn't have a game I want on day 1.

Someone at NeoGAF found that cache, I believe.

Hopefully this lights a fire at Atlus USA for them to just announce it. :P

Though a staff member commented once that 'we let ESRB leaks do that for us'...

How about retailer leaks?

Stage 7 (from streams) is really cruel.

The light on the level landscape comes and goes, so you gotta remember where you pushed that block.

Though the victory theme made me giggle a bit.

EDIT:  Got the soundtrack.  The classical songs have been remade beautifully!!!!!  In the middle of it now.  OST getters, this one is nice (thus far).  I like Shoji a bit more now.

Got that email I'd been waiting for!

What a bunch of teases at Atlus.

I love that it'll be here in the summer, when I have more time for games.

Huh, was expecting a cover change, maybe the 360's on both or something. The PS3 looked like it'd be too racy to fly by the ESRB - hell, it may be anyway and we'll see either some touching up or a whole new cover!

... I hate how prudish America can be at times.
