This is probably my most anticipated game now after that ICO sequal. I forget who is making Bastion, but it's an indie hack and slash RPG made by some people from a development team that made some pretty popular and well-liked games. The thing looks amazing (I LOVE the art style), but supposedly another big draw is the hilarious narrator who constantly, and I mean constantly, comments/narrates on what you're doing.

Constant narration would drive me nuts but the beautiful art style would make it worth it.
I believe it's made from the guys that developed the original Command and Conquer

That looks boring as hell and the narrator isn't funny at all. It's like watching a video let's play of the world's slowest, most linear roguelike -ever-.

I love linear RPG's from time to time. In fact, I'd rather play a totally linear RPG than a totally non-linear RPG.

You can have a linear storyline without having a dungeon that's literally a straight line !!

That's what I meant. Linear gameplay/fields/dungeons, etc.. Sometimes I love a linear as hell game where I don't get lost.

I think it looks good. I'm tired of videogames trying to be funny and telling jokes, but this is funny in a different way.
I doubt the game will be so linear... the video is of the start of the game. Then again, if everything is going to be narrated, that could force some linearity.
Game going to be awesome.
also, the narration should reduce the learning curve to zero.

The narration is just voice clips playing based on what you do.

I like the art style but the narration should stop at some point. It actually reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where Peter hires a guy to narrate everything he does in a singing voice.
Another con for me is this linear dungeon hack and slash because hack and slashing gets old quickly, so if there's nothing else to do, well, the fun goes away quickly.

The grapical style of the characters reminds me of Contact on the DS. I'll be checking out the trial / demo to see what it's like...
