Looks sweet but I don't like his hair being black. /nitpick

Ninja Theory's doing it. Apparently Capcom wanted a more 'western' take on the game.... Should be interesting.

They seem to be competent enough developers, so I don't see this being a repeat of Bionic Commando. Still, it's kind of disheartening how eager Capcom is to throw their series to outside developers.

You can't imagine how annoyed I am because of this. At least they didn't call this DMC5, since this is a reboot and that makes no sense.

Why they did a reboot? I don't get it.

Trailer wasn't that bad, but that new Dante... Fuck you Capcom and Ninja Theory, whoever made him look like that and agreed on it.

I know little of Ninja Theory other than that they're Europe-based and they did Heavenly Sword. Which I never played.

I get the feeling that I'll wind up playing it anyway even as I hate on Dante's design. Nothing will top DMC3 as far as this series goes though. :P

And nothing could be worse than DMC2.......... right?

I HOPE THAT "DANTE" IS A COMPLETELY NEW CHARACTER AND NOT DANTE THAT WE KNOW.
It may just be a spinoff and that would explain this new "DmC" name.

The more I think about it it bugs me they decided to do a reboot. It's not an old series, or even one that's laid dormant for an extended period. This makes it feel like a desperate move to keep the series relevant rather than let it sit for awhile or something.

According to SiliconEra the series hasn't sold that great in North America or western markets in general. Which surprises me, I'd think it'd sell as well here/better than it would in Japan.

Maybe they're looking at the success of other games in the hack-and-slash genre (ie. God of War, Bayonetta?) and want to make DMC more relevant in the category again. :P Not that *I* ever thought it was irrelevant, plus there's WAY worse out there (*cough99Nightscough*) anyway.

And even if that's somehow the case, I'M NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE FUCKING WAY TO DO IT, CAPCOM.

DMC4 has sold two million copies alone, and Bayonetta has reached one million of copies sold.

So yeah, all this thing about the reboot is really annoying. But anyway, I have others games to play.

Yeah that's why I put a ? beside Bayonetta, ha. Wasn't sure of its actual sales.

I'm still not sure if this is a reboot or a prequel, still. Better not be a fucking reboot. It's not like DMC4 was Spiderman 3.
