DMC4 has (arguably) one of the most enjoyable adaptations of Dante IMO. The only bad thing about the entire game is how they make you go back to play the same areas again, with bosses and everything.

Also get the PC version if you can.

As for the story, I can't remember what the fuck happened in that game. :P But again, who cares?

Me, but not much.

I was pretty disappointed knowing about the reboot because Capcom could have done at least 2 more games to expand and finish that mess of a story.

I am really not sure if I should excited about this. Mostly because I did not have the best of experience with series. Like I loved Devil May Cry 1, 2 was bad of course, & 3 was just okay. Never got to play 4. Maybe I will in the future.

Now back to DMC Devil May Cry. Like whatever game play footage I have seen of it. It does look really cool. But I will my final judgement when I actually play it. Whenever that will be that is. Hahaha.

Why DmC's Dante is a bad Character

And this is still going on.

I'm starting to warm up to this game. Some of the gameplay footage looks really good. Much better than what they had to show a year or so ago. Who knows, maybe they actually have something worth while after all.

Giant nerd who nitpicks a character from an unreleased, unfinished product actually utters the words, "it's such an ignorant view of what cool is" in a Youtube video.  Absolutely hilarious.  Douchebag could have at least waited until the game released first and then performed a proper critical analysis based on a released game and not a bunch of trailers and out of context game footage, but he needed internet high-fives from the NeoGAF hivemind.

Yeah man, everyone remembers how cool Dante originally was.

He's getting shit on gaf too you know.

The biggest problem about this is the misrepresentation that at least so far the game seems to be from past entries. Since DmC was announced it has looked like an action game with the Devil May Cry on the front because hey people like DMC.

You what other series end up like that? Silent Hill. And it was pretty pathetic seeing how every new game after SH3 was worse than the last one (and I know that Downpour was decent but is far from being a Silent Hill game).

In any case until the DmC comes out we are just talking out of our asses like lunatics.

DmC: Devil May Cry Developer Diary 01 -- Absolute Power

The idea behind the story of DmC is distressfully bad.

I gave up hope that the story will be any good when the game was first shown off...

But if the gameplay is as good as the demo, honestly I'll still buy it (eventually).

Turned the video off about 15 seconds in, can't deal with the hilariously awful video editing.

The video summed it up in one sentence!!

I hope at least the gameplay can really win this game over.  It really needs it.  I'm surprised they didn't get the director to mo-cap Dante; IIRC he looked exactly like him, making a game about himself.

The chick in that video is foxier than the game version of her... that shouldn't happen either.  With all due respect, her voice is old, and she looks sorta slutty in the game.... pure demon-cougar.

DmC: Devil May Cry -- Vergil's Downfall

"Vergil's Downfall for DmC Devil May Cry lets you play as Dante's twin brother Vergil and explore his story, with new unlockables, leaderboards and hours of gameplay!

US fans can pre-order DmC at Gamestop now to receive Vergil's Downfall additional content as well as the Samurai weapons pack. Canadian fans can pre-order DmC at EB Games now to receive Vergil's Downfall additional content as well as the Samurai weapons pack."

Looks fine, but is DLC so you know how this goes.

...I don't want to pre-order. DAMNIT NO. But the DLC sounds neat.

And honestly gameplay *might* save this game if the story is bollocks.

At best this is going to play like a God of War style button masher. I seriously doubt that the combat will have the skill cap or depth of DMC3 or even 4.

Probably.

If you can do half of what you can do with Dante in DMC4 (like this guy does) then I will be surprised.
