I just played the demo. Liked it way, way more than DMC4/Bayonetta/MGS Reveangengeancnecne.

And then died about 50 times when the walls close in. What the fuck is the deal with the air dash. He just keeps double jumping.

Got it, but still. Either my controller is borked (nope) or the timing for the air dash is dumb.

The initial reaction probably spurred the devs to improve their game, but they could have done without the dev bashing, insults, and premature denouncements. It's more God of War than DMC, but that's going to be fine for the majority of players.

It's more God of War than DMC, but that's going to be fine for the majority of players.

I would say that DmC resembles more El Shaddai, and maybe Darksiders 2 as well, but I haven't played it yet so I can't say from personal experience.

After playing the demo, I yearned for Bayonetta and Devil May Cry 4. 

It wasn't "unfun" though; the DMC name and the blatant attempts at coolness are all (most) of what upset me.

I remember Dante peeling himself out of a giant claymore that had impaled his chest, and saying "cool!"  This British flag nu-metal punk everything trendy is just the opposite... punks not dead, it just deserves to die when it becomes another stale cartoon.

I played a bit more of the demo and the more I play it the less I like the game. And I'm not saying this because I enjoyed the previous games or anything like that, I'm saying this because Ninja Theory has a competent game in their hands but they are not going to surpass the standards of what the previous games were (with the obvious exception of the 2nd game) like they want to do so badly. Not to mention that many of the problems that fans encountered in the demo are not going to be fixed nor they are going to fix many of the poor design choices they made with the game to make it better or so people at Ninja Theory seems to claim.

Capcom is doing all they can to cover how much of a mess this is, Ninja Theory doesn't seem to care to offer a better product even though they are saying they are working really hard to do so (which is weird because they always contradict themselves all the time), fans of the series want to like this game but they can't because of how broken it is and there is another group of people that are too deaf or blind to understand what are the problems because they think fans only care about Dante's hair...

The "reviewer"/game tester doesn't seem to like it, so it's hard to take it 100%.... but if these deets are true, it sound nothing short of retarded.

EDIT: I did like "smelly cock juggling anal jester" though.

Doubt it will ever happen, but if it did I think everyone can imagine what the reaction would be. Besides 'Donte The Demon Killah' doesn't blend well with the universe that SMT IV has shown so far like DMC2 Dante did in Nocturne.
