I know that Kaneko designed the Devil Trigger forms for DMC 3. I would love to see that happen with this. It would stick out so much.

No. That would have been good times though. If I recall Dante being in Nocturne was a trade off for Kaneko designing the devil triggers. DMC2 Dante wasn't the best Dante character-wise, but I loved his design.

Here's a trailer that is suppose to be new (and edgy) but is not all that really new (or edgy).

That was easily one of the shittiest trailers I've seen in a long time. I have the game pre-ordered, but if I were to base my purchasing decision off of that trailer, I definitely wouldn't be onboard.

Really loving the demo. The game feels a hell of a lot faster and more responsive than I was expecting. Hard to tell if the enemies will be fun to fight the whole way through (which is my main problem with other titles like Bayonetta and all of the other DMC games), but I like what I played.
I am concerned about picking this up on PC, however. Some of the Capcom ports have been pretty terrible, and the minimum to recommended range is uncomfortably wide. How do you go from a 3850 minimum to a 6950 recommended when Max Payne 3 only recommends a 5870 (though that game is probably more RAM reliant). Just seems weird and I'm running a 6870 currently.

Might be some DirectX10/11 features or something. Or just making a terrible guess.
It's a UE3 game, and Capcom ports this generation have actually been probably the best out of Japanese developers thanks to the MT Framework being very PC friendly (and most of the other games coming on engines like UE3). I wouldn't worry TOO much about it myself.

Good points. It's just something I always worry about with PC ports, though it hasn't been much of a problem this generation. *Stares angrily at RAGE*
I'm debating waiting for the summer Steam sale. I have so many freakin' games to play right now it's not even funny.
Amnesia (hold me!)
Okami HD (loving it all over again)
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin (never played them and they were quite cheap on Amazon)
Ni No Kuni (hoping for good things)
Dead Space 3?
Bioshock Infinite (hells yay)
Seriously, that will all keep me busy until April.

This will be the full price retail game I've bought in half a year.
Should be fun.

I see NOTHING wrong with this game, it looks fairly good. The fact that it's getting the bloody palace as an update stinks a tad, but it's free. The gameplay looks fun, and the demo showed it was solid. Sure the story is cheesy, and the voice acting is goofy sounding from the trailers, but the same was said about the first Devil May Cry, I mean seriously...fill your dark soul with LIGGGGGGHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTT? If we could stomach that line of dialogue, cheesy emo-dripping angst should be nothing.
I'm not buying it because I'm getting ni no kuni, but I'll be playing it soon enough.

Ni No Kuni's a possible reason to skip, and failing that there's plenty of other stuff in the near future anyway, but for me it's mainly just that this isn't the kind of game I normally want to get immediately at a full price. Looks to actually be enjoyable enough at least in a decent Steam sale, but Metal Gear Rising's the exception I intend to make and that's based off of how impressed I was with the demo.
By the way it IS fine with me to make new posts with new information as relevant, at least when it's been days since the original post.

Yeah, I'm sure Capcom will be really upset with you giving them more money. That'll teach 'em.
