Hello, I've subscribed to this forum because I wanted to reply to your post since a while now.  Being a big Phantasy Star phan, I've followed your progress, and wanted to say congratulations in completing this marathon.  Not many people have the courage and dedication in those days to play 4 old-school RPG in a row (and except for PSIV they're not really for everyone anymore).

Anyway, I'll say you can stop for now.  Skip Phantasy Star Online and the following titles.  They are just boring grind fest (more than PSII), with bare-bone and boring story (PSO had a good starting point, but it was so quickly done, you're left with just restarting the same game in other difficulty mode to grind, grind, and grind some more).  Phantasy Star stop with PSIV.  The rest of the series, they're a different thing using the Phantasy Star name to get more cash, but they're not real Phantasy Star IMHO

Edit:  I make my first post, only to realize that there's another xellos above me...talk about a weird coincidence...

Sweet! I recruit people! =D  And thank you!  I really like playin' these old RPGs.  They seem somehow more mysterious than more recently released titles, and are usually long forgotten, so it kinda makes me feel like an archaeologist or something.

Mixed feelings on PSO I see, I think I'll still take it for a spin because it's free.  The allure of MMOs has worn off for me though, for the most part.  That and I have a ton of stuff on my plate and one does not log into an MMO for an hour or two at a time lol.

Indeed, I've grown weary with time of RPG that ask 100 hours of dedication to even be a least a little bit good.  I'm with you on old-school RPG...not only because of their unique charm, but also because it was an era where you could get an entire worthwile RPG experience in 20 hours or less.  At 28, I don't have any more time to invest in a RPG that asks me 100 hours + of my time...but I can forgive them if the story can keep me hooked...but PSO, and the other Phantasy Star title after that?  The only content you'll find here is grinding to an extreme level, and it's not my definition of fun.  You can pretty much forget anything interresting in the story.
