I'm not sure if it's the same for systems, but prices for, say PSP games for example convert to like $71US over in Japan whereas they're never more than $40 here. I'm hoping the same will be true for the 3DS when it comes here, but I'm still gonna wait for a price drop or two.

Japanese are willing to shell out a lot more for video games than we are. Usually the ratio is about 2/3rds of the Japanese price. If it's $300 there, it'll probably be $200 here.

I agree for the most part, but at least the 3DS is in 3D, which a normal TV doesn't do.  PSP games for example offer nothing over a console version.

The ability for me to play them on my lunch break at work and/or on the toilet?  I work in Southeastern Wisconsin.  There is nothing for me to do for an hour.

I didn't mean to insult the PSP.  I'm just saying that PSP games are basically just console games that are portable, so at least we get the 3D gimmick for MML.  Otherwise, it's just a matter of opinion, like with Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3.

It's been a long time since I jumped on a system day one (PSX) but I'll more than likely get this when it comes out...provided I can try it at least once to make sure it doesn't give me a headache and to also see if the effect is cool.

One thing that kind of annoys me is that the 3D screen is the top screen and not the bottom screen. It's more natural for my eyes to look at the bottom screen when I'm playing a game. Is this the same for anyone else?

I keep thinking though - even if it is $250, that will only be for the US.

It'll probably be $265 in Canada (as a rough guess), plus the HST (15% in Ontario) which means it'll be $300 or more with tax in Canada.

Likewise - I got my head in books anyways and there's noooo way I'd sucker to that price.  I'd need a price drop and something SO GOOD that the cashier could say it costs $1,000 dollars - but not before I could say "Debit".
