Funny, I never picked up on any of that.

Illusion of Gaia was the best in that series in my opinion.

Terranigma, on the other hand...

...yup. Nintendo only has themselves to blame. It didn't come to the US because they were afraid of all that danged "controversial" content. Capitalism vs Communism? Questioning our religious beliefs? Creepy techno-antichrist from the Soviet Union? DUN DUN DAAA

Oooh yeah.  I remember that now - that creepy scenario with the communist (?) dude who wanted to take over the world and kept zombies or something.

...when I think about it - that game got pretty messed up at times.  Memorable for sure, at the same time, some of this was likely the stun factor.  More than just the underworld, the rebuilding of earth.... but a lot of that game was just bizarre (and good!)

I hate saying it, but I loved emulator games, usually with RPGs I wanted to replay (the defense), but it sure made early grinding a helluva lot better.  Speed up buttons were godly - and Chrono Cross became my best friend in New Game +.

Making time for RPGs is much like making time for reading. It requires a good time investment and some amount of dedication to finish. There is a delay in gratification but the payoff can be worth a lot more. Honestly, I thought RPGFan all ready had editorials answering the questions proposed in the most recent one.

Maybe so, but that's the beauty of editorials.  The author writes what they feel, even if other people feel that they have answers to their questions already. :)

Will that work on 1st gen hardware?
I don't think the 1000 has the TV out. Only the 2000/3000.

Correct - and the 2000 can't output games if you're using the composite cable. (That's the one with just red, white, and yellow, right?)
