You're just being cryptic again. It's like soap opera sex. Lots of boring dialogue and when they finally do go to bed, everything's dark and covered by blankets.

SaGa 2 on the GameBoy has an amazing soundtrack. I still can't believe how disappointing the soundtrack of the remake is. SaGa 3 for the DS seems to have better music, we'll see.

I didn't think anyone could make that into a failure.
How could gameboy have a better sound than DS?

Wrong question though.  DS does have better sound, but I think they got too experimental and almost nuts with their compositions.
I *loved* the overworld theme, that brief echo at the beginning...dun dun duh-duh-duh (duh duh duh) and then it kicks off.  The DS one made it sound like some corny King's errand with trumpters blurting out instead...

SaGa 2 does get my vote though.

I started writing some of my own retro VGM, in between learning to program games and draw my own sprites and backgrounds.  I've been using this synthesizer program called Musagi.
It simulates the original NES sound chip, but it's not 100% accuate (i.e you can do more stuff that the NES couldn't).

Here's a short one I made recently, somewhat Iron Maiden inspired =D No pre-made melodies or beats

Best battle theme on the planet.

That was awesome. It sounds like music for a Shooter game, like Gradius or something like that.

Good stuff. :)

Thanks! =D  I'm hoping to stick it into this mecha style shoot 'em up I've been designing.  So the style I was going for was pretty damn close =D

The boss music from Sonic The Hedgehog was epic. Jeez, I can think of a bunch.

I'm listening to the Symphonic Suite versions of Actraiser 1's tracks and it's so good.

Long before Gears of War, Cliff Bleszinski was designing games such as the one below, of which has fantastic music:

Many are familiar with Jesper Kyd's work in games like the Assassin's Creed series, but few have heard his earlier work such as in this old Sega Genesis game:
