Oh man as soon as I read that title I was going to come in here and say "I know a sicker movie" and suggest A Serbian Movie, but lo and behold.

I will NEVER watch that movie.  I get it.  I get what the guy was doing with the movie.  But I could never stomach the kind of stuff that's in that movie.

Thing is, I can appreciate this level of gore because the director and writer actually have a message they are trying to portray.  Whether it is successful or not is one thing, but Human Centipede is just gore for the sake of gore, which is just crap.

All my arty friends try and pull the same trick, trying to make everything an allegory for some deep political message, but from what I've read of the movie, it just sounds like another shocking, squirmy, extremely violent horror flick.

But who knows, let people see whatever they want to see, eh.

I never understood these kind of movies. And let alone understanding what the type of audience likes this stuff... at least you can challenge some friends with this movies just for fun.

For a movie about porn like this, it'd probably be impossible to get any message at all across to people without being so intensely erotic.
It looks mostly like a drama movie to me instead of horror.

I don't think that is the case.  I can honestly understand the message he is trying to get across as he has stated.  The issue is that he made this movie for an audience very ill informed on Serbia, so it comes across as gratuitous porn.  The message this guy is trying to portray really isn't possible without the porn and violence because that IS the message.  Again, I don't think I could sit through it, but I get it.  I'm reminded of a movie called Salo from the 60s made by Pasolini, which was similarly vulgar (for that time) and people had the same qualms about, but the images these movies include really are necessary to the message.
