Damnit, I accidently took a nap. Again. My head feels like it's filled with cotton. I'm not even sure if I should be happy I woke up so close to bedtime or regret it even more.

Managed to dislocate my knee for the third time today. Yay for MD! Luckily it didn't stay dislocated this time, but that only means I had a good excuse not to go to the ER tonight.

Mind you this was mere hours after getting a call in for an interview to a job where I'd be on my feet all day. Saying I feel a little hopeless and depressed tonight would be an understatement. In lots of pain, too, but that can be medicated away.

(And yes,  I do recognize that my feelings are just the combination of pain and miserable luck playing tricks on my mind, but knowing that doesn't really help much)

The haps is I've been going through a different documentary every other day, it's amazing how often this stuff pops up in video games like in Sumerian history Ishtar in like Catherine or whatever.

I got a pair of All Star sneakers. Never had those before. But... I'm not sure how I should feel about wearing hand-me-downs from my 11 year old cousin. She grew out of them almost instantly, so... yeah. I mean, I have more clothes that are technically for children, but this is the first time since my little sister was a teen that I got childrens' clothing from an actual child.

I'm still trying to figure out if the average Fire Emblem plot is meant to say 'Russians are stupid, let's kick their ass (in a safe fantasy setting)'.

Got a knee brace and crutches at urgent care today. Currently debating whether or not I want to brave the stairs to go grab Okami HD from PSN's $5 Flash Sale.

Went to my uncle's house today to help fix an electrical issue he was having, and he tells me I look good, like I've been losing weight. Normally this would make my day, but right now I have been weighing myself on a scale at home and though I have lost a few pounds over the last 2 weeks, I have actually gained about 20 or 39 since last I saw him. Thing is, it's all muscle. Seriously, I've been checking myself out and all over my upper body aside from my enormous gut I'm getting gigantic muscle growth. It'a so strange to see shoulders and a chest now instead of just more flabby flesh. I'm sorry if this sounds like gloating or ego or something, it's quite the opposite. I'm dumbfounded by all this, i've been a fat kid for my entire life. I still am, but there's finally this glimmer at the end of the tunnel where I can see myself changing and it's....frightening. I don't know what it's like to be "in shape" and it's a really strange concept. Even now I feel cockier, like I'm something special, which I've never felt like before...

First world problems,huh?

TASTY!

Hrm couldn't speak to FE unfortunately I can't remember a lot of the older FEs as well to really summarize what the haps is...

Anyway the haps is now I started reading even more it sounds like there was kind of a huge Nile civilization that went all the way from the Mediterranean to parts of Sudan... crazy stuff.

I don't know if I had to pick between Egypt Sumer or Indus Valley I'd probably have to go with Egypt although the others are pretty awesome as well. I like how references to the early "Saharan Crescent" referenced a matriarchical society with women having equal rights to men.. how about that! Always good to know current civilizations can be beaten by ones 5000 years older... =-/

Chemex + tea kettle + cheap grinder + 5 minutes = brew your own coffee to taste how you want it to (and avoid McDonalds/ waiting in line)
Late, but chemex are fantastic.

I had a migraine yesterday.  I took my super pills and that didn't really do anything besides make me nauseous.  But like any good RPG, going to sleep helped.  ...Obviously it doesn't help if I'm dying of an open wound, but I love a good long snooze to cure other problems.

Duuude.  Hope you're okay, that sounds like butt for sure.  But obviously the best thing to do is to park it down and play games.

Perfect advice for most injuries.

Takes your mind off it. :D
And as social media rep for RPGFan and not a doctor, I must do what I can. ;P

But when I got an [infected] in-grown toenail, that's basically all I could do.  I sure didn't feel like 'walking it off'. :S

Same.  I was useless yesterday, so all I've been doing (besides checking forums) is doing some late-spring cleaning with the windows open.

The haps for me involved moving to a new home over the weekend. Internet provider was supposed to be out to the property and flaked three days in a row. Grrr!!!!! Thankfully there is enough unpacking to keep my mind preoccupied for a while. Meanwhile, 1GB of data on the mobile phone may pull the wool over my eyes until I get wifi access again, lol.

*edit* First house guest was a camel spider or a wind scorpion. Not sure which one to be exact, yet there was a whole lot of nope happening there.

My haps are I spent the weekend escorting my wife to a fancy company dinner, dressed up very nice, around many other exceedingly well-dressed people, ate filet mignon and lobster tail, and then spent the following morning by the rooftop pool eating room service breakfast.

Probably won't ever do anything like that ever again.
