Thanks for the well wishes all.

It only took about 6 months of hints to get it through my idiot skull that that's what she wanted.

I still can't believe she even talks to me sometimes.

^ uh. yeah, I agree with you on this one.  As I've already demonstrated on this board (and everywhere else) I have trouble picking up on nuance.

Offer was accepted for the house. Now we start the process of the mortgage
All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

I think I made a friend o_o

A little while ago, I started going to the local guild because I really missed archery. I postponed this decision for the longest time, because I feared it would be mostly men, and that turned out to be mostly true. However, today we couldn't use the range for a bit because people had to use the storage rooms, and me and this other girl started talking. Turns out we have a lot in common (bow preference aside - she likes traditional stuff, I stick to recurve, but hey, atleast she doesn't shoot compound! :P). Pets (rabbits), books and series (fantasy, historical stuff), other hobbies (crochet)... We're also the ones that get the most practice in. I wonder if she likes games... I should ask next time.

One little problem, though... She's still in high school. I hope I don't scare her off when she hears my age. I mean, if she's like most people, she's estimated me at college age, 25 at most. I turn 30 this year...

Edit: Damnit, I want to go to bed soon, but I'm not tired yet because 1) I had a really good time this evening and 2) for some reason, I feel the need to contemplate every shot where I made an obvious mistake. I know I shouldn't expect too much after that long break, and the practice bow I'm using won't ever be as accurate as what I used to use, but... Man, I wish I could use the range several days a week.

Already hating this job. My knee is in constant pain, my feet as usual cannot tolerate standing for more than an hour no matter what I do, and five times I was told to come in yesterday, today, and then Monday. And then get a call TONIGHT to come in tomorrow night and Saturday night. And the whole reason they hired me so quickly was because the temporary manager who is covering for the actual store manager who is on leave is going on vacation at the same time as the store's other supervisor starting from July 1st to July 25th. So they're training me to close since I'll be the only one around able to.

Kind of want to die right now.

Sorry to hear you are feeling that low, Klutz…

Do you wear a knee brace, or any kind of orthotics? Those kinds of things can usually go a long way for people with leg and foot pain.

Trying a new knee brace tomorrow. The one I've been using tends to get super tight if I start to sweat. I've tried four types of shoes and every type of orthotics I can find. Nothing ever helps with my feet. Going to try and find a podiatrist that takes my shitty insurance, but my hopes are not high.

There really needs to be easier ways to make friends in your 20's and 30's.  Cuz yeah I'm in a pretty crappy boat for that.
I love staying up late on a good night.  You'll sleep long enough when you're dead I say, enjoy the night!!

Sorry to hear Klutz.  I had one shift where I dealt with excruciating foot pain.... you seem to be dealing with it all the time.  Take whatever advil or tylenol you need to get by and see that doctor asap.  Or come to Canada and see one for free. :D

The RPGFan community is getting old :P

I hit 30 next year. We should start a club--we can call it the Aging Archery Enthusiasts.

You're not old until you're standing around in your garage awkwardly talking and/or singing songs about Viagra with your group of friends (+ one token black friend) while a soothing, disembodied voice reads off a list of potential side-effects. You're not old until you're doing everything to distract yourself from that damn logo popping up just outside of your field of vision. The brief flutter in your chest when Tyrone smiles at you. Trying to remember what your children looked like, back before the purges. The sinking suspicion that your wife's been a philosophical zombie for at least a dozen years. The real reason why you haven't been able to get it up for the past six. The nothingness and the repeat that's coming in twenty seconds.

"Ask your doctor if Viagra is right for you!" You?

Tyrone smiles at you again, eyes wet and tearful. Ten seconds.

"Vivaaaaaa, Viagra," you all sing in unison. The blue-diamond hologram melts away. It ends the same way every time.

You lock eyes with Tyrone and try to force a smile as everything fades to black.

^ Quit yer belly-achin', you two. Several of us here have several years on you. You're in the prime of your life. Relax and Enjoy it.

Have you seen a chiropractor? They can work some serious magic with bones, joints, and body pains. They also prescribe stuff like braces and orthotics.

Only potential problem is that it can be even more difficult to get insurance to jibe with chiropractic care...
