The idea of playing a video game where you simulate living is...just weird. Seriously, I've never understood the appeal of these games.

I played The Sims for the first year it came out.... loved the music.  Then, yeah, I realized I was simulating cooking and cleaning...with stupid people who pee'd on the floor if they weren't guided properly.  I moved on quickly.

I do however miss one simulator: Roller Coaster Tycoon.  God that was fun!!

I have always been a Sims addict.I just work and socialize my way to the top,then I abandon my family,stop going to the bathroom,quit my great job,stop cooking and just order pizza,end my regular showers and move to the crappiest house in the neighborhood.Then I die.

Also I like mushrooms, but  I doubt I could say why without making it sound sexual so I'll leave it at that.

As for the Sims can't stand those games. My Ex-girlfriend from highschool loved them though, it was like all she played too. Drove me mad talking about it at times.

I generally like Sim* games, just not the Sims. Personal favorites being SimIsle and SimCity 4, although I also have a major soft spot for the SNES version of SimEarth. SimIsle and SimEarth could be weirdly harrowing at times. Well... SimIsle was actually kind of depressing all the time, but with SimEarth, when stuff started falling apart in a HUGE way, and you were just kind of left there to watch helplessly as the entire world broke down into nuclear war and robot uprisings, with the few survivors taking off in launch arcologies, while that spooky chiptune music played.
