That's actually the way to remember shit I guess.

I was listening to a radio programme (odd spelling for Starmongoose) and the guest was a guy who came up w/ a memory programme.

He teaches people how to memorize data in a short amount of time using his system. I guess he holds a guinness record for having memorized so many shuffled decks of playing cards in the order they are dealt.

So just straight up remembering numbers is hard to do, association is what really causes your brain to hang on to pertinent data

Growing up, I was always told that I was going to be an accountant because I was good at math and liked everything neat, orderly, and logical. Despite it all I went into Horticulture, with the ambition to be a landscape architect. Due to my parents not being made of money, I never became an architect.
The point IS that I am now a Landscape Estimator. I work with #'s all day! Somehow I combined my love of plants and design with my propensity for #'s. A lot of what I do is done in Excel, but I still have to come up with the overall cost and man hours for each job we do.
Numbers make the world go 'round.

So i was playing Halo Reach this afternoon, and first i get stuck in a firefight with some douche bags who think it's a great idea to fire Fuel Rod cannons at your teammates in between rounds. Then I play for a little more and when return to the lobby fucking game tells me my rank is recruit (the lowest) so I think I lost 30hours worth of gameplay and have to start over. Luckily it was just glitching out on me. I swear this game likes fucking with me though.

God called in Sick Today.
Lazy bastard. Dudes been calling in sick for over 2000 years.
; - )

My son has a half day today at school. The lazy teacher decides to make it a movie day and asks all the kids to bring in a movie and a blanket/pillow to lay on. What the hell is this? My tax dollars hard at work.

Memorial day weekend = 3 days in a row that I get to sleep in. Nowadays, that's pretty much all I can ask for. Well, maybe some 'Dark Towers' Penstemon, too.

I received my Tardis cookie jar today! :D

It makes that weird fading sound (and its top light glows) whenever I close the jar though, so something tells me I may not be snacking many cookies from this particular jar.

I hate when I know the next few days will be everything but my own to whatever extent.  C'est la vie.  Just think how awesome it will be when you can sit on your ass. :)
