Most people that wear UGGs aren't worth talking to, so they're sort of useful in the being an indicator of  "Shit this person is crazy get away" sense.

God, at bowling green there was this huge fashion trend that involved wearing like, tights and uggs and beige, fur lined jackets.

A certain demographic of university students have a tendency to wear the iconic UGG design. They're not very pleasant people. What I don't get is when people where those things in warm weather. Like... shorts, no tights and UGGs. How does that make sense? It looks ridiculous.

I feel like playing Monkey Island.

Uggs, originated here and only worn by Bogans which translates to Rednecks or Chavs. There was a time when you would find run down vans selling these on highway intersections. Now celebrities in the states made these popular a few years back so that every celeb wannabe bogan (fembogan, shetrash) would have a pair. You guys will just have to trust me on this when I say there was a time when only the trashiest of the trashiest would wear them. Not much has changed and seeing a celeb with a pair on only makes me and other Australians laugh in horror. With that said, I have a pair that will never leave the house. But damn my missing teeth and mullet they're comfortable

I was shocked the other day when I saw some boots that looked pretty cute and they turned out to be UGGs.  We didn't buy them, though, because pretty cute wasn't good enough to convince my wife to wear UGGs. :D

You shouldn't have bought them because you thought they are "cute". What kind of man are you Tooks?

Haha - dude, they weren't for me.  They were for my wife!

I have to agree - they ARE comfortable. My sister has a pair. But God damn, they're not $300 comfortable. I'll buy $100 - $120 boots - I've spent $50 and less on boots before, but when you live in Canada - never go cheap on winter boots.

I always laugh when I see people wearing Uggs in the summer. Aren't your feet sweating? Gross.

I very nearly spent $700 on ski boots once.  (But then I found a discontinued but still new and perfectly functional model on clearance for much less, so that worked out pretty well.)

My hiking boots are due for replacement (they're about ten years old) and I can easily see dropping a couple hundred on a new pair.

Just trying to relate to the conversation ;)

I've yet to find a pair of footwear that was satisfactorily waterproof.

I would fail at Canada.

I'm back.

You better have won lots.

It was the most atypical vegas trip ever. Stayed w/ cousins who live there on the outskirts of town (in such a small city that means 10 min from downtown).

We went to a ton of great restaurants and went hiking in red rock canyon. We only visited the strip a few times and I only gambled with about 30 bucks and profited 20, playing cheap slots. This was a big group trip w/ +1's cousins (the ones who live there), aunt and uncle, and parents. Not too crazy but w/ such a large group sitting around and playing $1 blackjack at the gold coast.

I took some good pics of our hike, will post tomorrow.
