Teachers are still on strike. Classes are over this week. Don't know what is happening with my teaching hours and both sides are being completely inflexible.

I've been posting on the university facebook page, calling out both sides on their behaviour, and in return I got an implied threat from a teacher who said they "wonder what will happen" if I try and apply for a job at the university once I graduate. Also, my facebook name has been "Seymour Buttz" for months and she also posted my real name in conjunction with the implied threat, which is creepy.

So the message is - Do not speak out against the union for any reason if you are a student or you will nullify any chance of getting a job, whether you deserve one or not. I do not like being intimidated. This kind of shit is seriously turning me anti-union.

I have been contemplating making a complaint with the labour board of Ontario but don't know if i have a strong enough case.

Michigan's not that bad. Great Lakes and whatnot. I visited Detroit last summer cuz I thought I was getting an internship there, and it's not as bad as it's made out to be. Well, not all of it is.

So my Microbiology lab group spent 3 weeks trying to figure out what our unknown organism was. I figured it out in literally about 15 minutes after running two tests on it and they didn't believe me. So three weeks and like 5 unnecessary tests later, we falsely determine it to be saprophyticus and get a shit grade. I guess I wasn't persuasive enough. I almost always end up hating group projects for reasons similar to this.

Urban Michigan is a toilet. If you want outdoors, you really want Colorado, New Mexico, Appalachia or somewhere on the West Coast.



I used to live five minutes walking distance from those mountains. Miss it like crazy.
