Funny enough, I got a YMCA membership too thanks to the boyfriend.  I have god awful vitality though, I'm almost spent after a full bout of cardio (20 min ish).  Perserverence!  Bettter diet!  Something...

Moar sex.

I got a membership at the local YMCA. I want to do some weight training this summer since I'll have some more time on my hands. Do any of you who do weight training have any advice to someone starting out?

Somewhat depends on what results you want. I was a power lifter for years when I was younger. I focused on large weights, few reps, many sets. If you are looking for more definition the opposite is true, lighter weights, more reps. Either way I always firmly believed in, as Yoda said, good technique and form, concentrate on the muscle being worked, focus and make sure to keep form, it will yield better results.

In addition to this, don't forget that nearing the end of your set, make sure to grunt really loud.  Very important.

Spent the day In Friggin' Kenosha, WI. yesterday.

Could be worse.  You could spend every day in Friggin' Kenosha, WI.  Though to be fair, I do have much more sanity due to lack of commute since I moved up here.

Whoa. Yeah, I kinda feel for you, man. Didn't you live in Chicago? Or at least in the general area? That's quite the transition. Like I said above, though. The lake area is probably nice during better weather.

Grim, I bet you never did the Kenosha Kid.
What the hell is the Kenosha Kid?

Speaking of not having sex...

My friends and I have been playing Risk: Legacy. It's like risk but you commit to playing 15 games (not all at once lol) w/ the same group. I won't get into details since you can look them up but I'll say it's fun as hell and is probably the best modification of Risk ever. Lots of fun. If you have a game night w/ friends check it out.

My bro and I used to play Crazy 8's with two decks at once.  Picking up 10 cards is usually a game breaker.  But hella fun. :D

Nice.

the thing that's good (and bad depending about what you want) Is that games of Legacy are short. You don't have to eliminate everyone, just occupy bases (4) of them.

As certain things are met in game, like a player being totally out or a certain number of tropps being played, you open up rule packs that add things to the game. Event cards, territory buffs, etc.

It's very fun. A lot to get a handle on to start but once you get going it's a total blast. We played 4 games yesterday and I won once. Syz the Magnificent held South America and charged north, destroying the enemy Capital in Ontario. The glory and quality of the Green Army inspired legends.

It's so hot here. I drive with my palms because the driver's wheel is too hot to grip with my hands since I'm forced to park outside.

Fuck the sun.

WTF is a dividend tax? What are income tax rates at now anyway? Mine seem pretty low this year although it's not something I pay attention to.

Wizardry V: Heart of the Maelstrom - SNES version is better than the PC version really. Also I need to finish my W8 mod, goddamit. Problem is I can't find my original Wizardry 8 discs anywhere, so I'd basically have to work from my crappy laptop or just copy the entire W8 folder over, which is possible to do.

Capital gains tax, which for some insane reason got capped at 15% in 2008 (it used to be treated the same as any other income).  This is the reason why people like Mitt Romney pay a lower tax rate than a lot of middle class folks, since all their income is in capital gains.
