3 Day weekend!!

likewise, my old buddy and I would spend all weekend building a city, then late Sunday allow all natural disasters to wipe it out, good times, lol

The New Sim City EA is making will prevent you from making disasters and then reloading your save.  There is no save reloading anymore because they made you have to be online to play it (like Diablo3).  Really lame.

I'm good at generating cashflow in SC4 but bad at like, building up actual CITIES. I just end up with these suburban sprawls that look sort of muddy and half baked.

I always sucked at that, but never really tried.  I liked SC4 because you could download buildings that gave you as much money as you needed.  I would prefer to play it that way.

My dad gets me so goddamn stressed, my skin itches and twitches (also, just in general, it's been some bad, bad times).  But then he gets kind enough to buy me ram for my MacBook (2gb---> 8gb! :D ).  So how exactly am I supposed to feel???

Mind you, this doesn't work for me, cuz I generally curse my father out when he pisses me off. I almost had to hit him at work the other day...off an 11th floor balcony.

So one time when my band was playing a show, this dude in another band we were playing with shared one of my favorite stories:  He said he was at a show and some kid took a massive elbow to the face in the moshpit and had a pretty bad nosebleed.  Then when he scrambled out of the pit, some girl grabbed him and shoved a tampon up his nostril to staunch the bleeding. 

I thought that was an absolutely brilliant display of "punk rock" ingenuity.  So let this be a lesson to anyone who plays in a punk or metal band where moshpits get intense: tampons or maxi pads are very useful to have.  That and duct tape can fix most anything.

Yesterday at 1:30pm I decided I wanted to see the White Sox play in St. Louis. So I bought a ticket and left at 2. Got there at 630 and met up w/ some friends. I drove about 300 miles in 4.5 hours and that was with a shitty traffic situation from construction.

One stop for gas



Had a damn good time even though the sox lost. We went to some bar that is lame in premise but the place was a total riot. Went to a local casino and my friend got tossed out. Crashed on a floor.

Next day checked out the bud brewery. Skipped the tour, got a few free beers for breakfast and hit the road.

In the midst of trying to find a job, get my documents organised, pack my apartment and sell shit.

My apartment is a nightmare. Six boxes already packed, four of them are video games and I'm nowhere near done.

Ugh.

Do you really need all four boxes of video games? How long do you plan on staying overseas? If you have a place to store the cases, you could probably just put the discs into DVD binders and bring that with you.

Anyway, good luck with your packing. Sounds like a hectic time. I remember packing when I moved back from Asia. Not fun.

I love cycling season.  'Tis the time where, when I'm stopped at a 4-way intersection and see a female motorist across the way, I unzip my jersey a little and the flash of my ta-tas gets me the right of way.  On the other hand, it backfires.  It's like, "Ummm, I know you're checking out my legs and butt, but don't run me off the road!"

It's an adventure every time!  

The summer's still young, so I will "tag, you're it!" somebody at some point.

A long time.

I have a place to store them and will bring PS3 games with me overseas. The rest will sit comfortably at my parents, who have a fairly big house.

Yesterday my dad and I were removing an old oven hood at my new house - we're gonna install a microwave where the hood used to be.  When we pull it out a shower of ancient, dried-up bird shit comes cascading down from the vent that the hood covered up.  That vent connects the chimney, so... you can probably figure out how it got there.  My dad and I spent almost an hour cleaning up all the bird poop out of the oven and cutitng out a wood panel to seal that vent for good.  Happy father's day, Dad.
